Any1 (or know of any1) using Amax Wimax in Bandar Utama Phase 12 ?

Not sure of the speed there, as looking at the coverage map, it is just at the edge, so the signal tower could be very far away...

Any Amax resellers or employees reading this forum?

I am very interested to sign up for Amax, but need to very sure on coverage in Bandar Utama Phase 12. Also when will the coverage start for Taman Mayang Jaya, which will then definitely cover the rest of BU 12...

Also I want to be very sure on torrenting speeds, any P2P throttling, etc.

In one of the reply here, it was mentioned that Taman Mayang Jaya coverage is already up, but even the latest Amax coverage map (that just got updated with lots of new areas) did not show...

Hi slackinux - do share the email address of the Huawei manager here in LYN, for all of us Amax users. Even if not all of us will send him a complaint email now, it is good for all of us to keep this email handy, who knows next time, one of us might need to use it...

Gary - I would like to report that Aman Suria / Bandar Utama phase 12 is also having problems !!!

The speed is only about 30% of what is used to be !!!

Kindly please highlight to Amax management about this, and get it fixed fast.

From what I can see from the postings this week, Amax is soon losing all credibility !!!

For Taman Mayang / Bandar Utama Phase 12, the service has gone from BAD to WORSE !!!

I used to be able to download at around 130 kB/s, just now can only get 10 kB/s !!! What shitty speed...

I tried to use it at 2pm just now in BU12, download speed is 10 kB/s only !!!

Gary sexualpower - it seems that Seri Petaling users managed to get their speed to 225 kB/s - so how about here in BU12? Did you get any updates from the Amax technical team???

Anyone else having slow connection problems elsewhere - please update and share, how did Amax response to you after you complained?

YES - AMAX has been very very frigging slow here too...
Download speed can only get up to 10 kB/s...

What is the average download speed at your side ?
(Not the speedtest.net test speed)

Getting very FED UP, I think I am almost ready to throw back the USB modem to them !!!

do NOT subscribe to Amax !!!

The connection speed is really slooooww....
has been like this for the past 2 months !!!

When you try to call the customer service, all they can offer you to do is to restore the default configuration of the modem, which did not help at all...

When I try to talk their Accounts dept to seek a waiver of fees for month of Nov, as I really could not even get online during that month, they just ignore you...

Please consider VERY seriously before you decide...

I am not sure about other areas, but to those staying near to Bandar Utama phase 12, Taman Mayang area, please consider VERY SERIOUSLY before you sign up for AMAX service !!!

The USB dongle on the 1st floor of my house still shows >76% signal strength and >61% link quality; I am still using my computer at the same place, however before I could get >130 kB/s for torrents, now I am getting less than 10 kB/s !!! Very pitiful & disgraceful speed...

Numerous calls to the service center, they will just ask you to restore the default configuration, use another USB port, etc, etc... All are useless and do not solve the real problem of their base station low capacity issue...

Yes - they tell you their package is unlimited usage, but what is the use when all you get is such disgraceful bandwidth...

Don't say you have not been warned...
