Not quite possible yet, as explained by slickz the PS3's OS(not Linux) isn't running any sort of DOS/Windows base code.
Most viruses are developed on Windows.

PS3 has been hacked months ago.
Its not getting a big word out yet due to the fact that the hacking process is rather complicated and it isn't stable as well as convenient enough yet to use.

Just wondering do anyone have the problem of installing Demo that you dl from PS Store? I realized those more than 1GB file always corrupted. Is it because i keep on pause and resume?

^weird, i nvr faced a corrupted d/load before no matter what size the demo.

i am using streamyx with LAN connection, also always pause and resume b/ground d/loads. sorry can't be of more help.

Possible that you have an unstable connection?
Packet loss on your modem can also be the factor of error downloading content on the PSN store.

I have only so far experience 1 error downloading the Uncharted demo months ago. But after that, I have never experienced any. Using wireless to download content from the PSN store as well.

hi all...just got my PS3 from PS Zone's Nelson rclxms.gif
btw, im getting the 80GB local set....but only things is that the usb port only got 2
anyway, as long as i get the Sony Malaysia warranty, anything will do laugh.gif

You can always get an external USB-hub at any computer store. They're dirt cheap anyways, so no prob there too! icon_rolleyes.gif

haha that's for sure, coz the usb port is only for control charge purpose...so no worry biggrin.gif
anyway, gonna do more research on which game to buy...currently my fren will borrow me the MGS4 and InitialD, but need some action/RPG games instead laugh.gif

Action/Adveture = Uncharted, Nuff' said.
RPG = Look out for Eternal Sonata in a couple of weeks time.

The demo for Eternal Sonata is out on the US PSN, download it and see if you like it. Personally, I do.

SH: Homecoming is a letdown for me. Not worth buying IMO, Siren on the other hand is.

After i insert PES2008 to my console, the system ask for downloading latest software for PES2008. So now i start to download it. I wanna ask can I reject the DIsc from console while waiting the software to finish download?

You can but best not. Because after the update, the game will auto-start itself. If theres no disc in the drive, you'll be shown an error. Doesn't hurt the PS3 either way, but why risk it?

The password that I meant is like a logon password. Just like Windows. Can set password before can login.
Can PS3 do that?
I'm leaving my PS3 at home. I dont want my anyone use the PS3.

I already check certain site, they all said can not. So, I guess, the answer is can not.

Which also means, they won't even care if you pay them, they'll not look at your unit unless it is a MY set. Its under their T&C warranty.

I suggest you do this, play PES 2008 again and play a full match if possible. If there are no problems then the problem may just be the COD4 disc being faulty.
When a Blu-Ray disc is faulty, it can automatically jack the Blu-Ray laser in your PS3 to go too close onto the disc because its having difficulties reading data off from it and thus freezing the game.

Try other games as well.
A dying lens symptom is frequent freezing(which means just freeze out of no where).

Like I said, our MYSony Centre will only know how to fix and repair Malaysia PS3. All the technician will be trained to perform the troubleshooting and mechanical work BASED ON our local set PS3. What to do...

the password can only protect ur PSN account from logging in ....

u afraid your housemates use your PS3 when u not around w/o your permission?

tip: take your DS3 or all your games in a CD folder with u when u go out icon_idea.gif laugh.gif
