So by the way, Live@Playstation - how do I start contributing to folding? Do I need to join a team first?

you dont need to join a team.

open life with playstation. then like hold down the square button i think. and you have to change channel to folding@home.

you have to re-try several times. i tried 5-6 times before i managed to get the update. the spec iii update was easier for me 'cos the d/l will continue from where it stopped.

I think is the connection problem.
Mine also.... i even can't update MGO.
What i did is i stop all my download in PC. Then restart my router. Dedicate the whole connection for the update.

I find downloading updates VERY slow compared to the 360's updates. I turn off everything except the PS3 and Router, still slow.

guys, talking about downloading...

is there any difference between downloading using a SG / US account ?
not sure if it will connect to a different server to download based on the a/c ?

guessing that if with SG a/c, the server oughta be in singapore, rite ?

No, its in HK instead. All Asia PSN(except Japan obviously) are located in HK.

Difference wise, I don't feel any. Ironically, I download faster when connected to my US PSN.

some of the PS3 game data can be copied/back-uped. just select the gamesave, press triangle and copy using a thumbdrive

however, some game saves are "locked" (maybe due to online leaderboards or other settings) so u can't transfer them to another PS3.

for updating games, I would advise you guys to connect the ps3 directly to your modem, wired of course.

Good suggestion.

Although I've never used my PS3 on a wired connection, always wireless tongue.gif
