guys scrap the idea of removing input cap for now, i just try with 20k resistor there is distortion, with 12k there is none, but in both situation the speaker is being push out! even during idle. sorry didnt notice tht previously....but yesterday i play it loud for 30 minutes without issue tho...
i just burn 1 of my mids with 20k resistor

.... should i move to lower resistor value and try again? hmm.....
yes ongbs there is the 'tub' noise when i on the amplifier, at the same time as the mid being push out...gona get another mid tomolo....so sad.

aiya bro...sorry to hear that

Today morning (4am?) read your post and asked you this:
"xtorm, got big noise/pop or thumb-up when you powering it up without the input caps?"
you didn't see my post?
If speaker cone continuous push up/down that mean got DC current, must be careful.....
I think continuously play might not burn the speaker as music signal may offset the DC current, unless the DC current very high then you might hear some abnormal sound compare to normal music?
If left idle that will cause problem if DC current too high as the speaker coils been heated up!
