so there is such as universal x-over....aka electronic x-over kit. Does it comes frown JP ongbs....???? Yeah.....take picture take picture.....

x-over is hard to build right....how do you measure.....

Well, i am using linear psu, made up from normal transformer,LM7812,and 2 e.caps. Sound ok to me, but i havent got chance to try with SMPS yet. Think of salvage from notebook power adaptor. What do u guys think?

jazzy look at the second picture....RM45.00 if not mistaken....so ongbs you change the caps (black one) to tweak the sound?????

I am pleased to say that the 'relay' board does NOT affect the sonic performance of my T-Amp.
An extended listening session last nite with some new CDs I've got came out satisfying..

Since the installed board is an 'evaluation board', will be installing a 'proper' looking board soon and will be using the earlier bought OMRON relays. Will also do some internal wiring changes for more 'improvements'
Anybody wanna try out my evaluation 'speaker relay/protection board'?

Thank you for review on Vishay/ERO MKT 1822 2.2uF input caps.

Hmm, slightly less highs and full in midrange... could be just the antidote for my new board after SMD change........

I am getting my input caps from Farnell; prices range from RM3.29 to RM5.36, see Vishay 2.2uF cap. Since I got 10 pcs together this time, I paid RM4.40 each.

anyway, I have been reading about capacitors (as usual) especially what are the contributing factors that may affect the life of a capacitor.
The temperature and the working voltage(WV) greatly affect it.
Since our WV is 12-14VDC and by getting a 63V caps will definitely extend it's life.. less voltage, less temperature rise..
There are other issues.. but as far as WV are concerned and size permitting, I'll go with the highest I can afford..

As usual I only need 2 pcs; the rest were quickly snapped up by the 2 guys I poisoned with our T-amp and after hearing the Vishay Roederstein MKT 1813 2.2uF 63V polycarbonates (of which I assume they are happy), they would gladly go for these MKT 1822 at practically half price of what they paid earlier.

I would say RM2.50 each for the 2.2uF 63V input caps is very good price; Farnell online catalogue does not show them. Let's hope they are not F-ERO.    My full respect  to you to really try out various input caps to select the best match with your speakers.

Good that you could get the caps from a friend; I do not have such a friend here in K.L. 
For me, it's either Farnell or Jalan Pasar but do not expect to get decent grade parts from the shops at latter place, moreover the petrol and parking costs to go Jalan Pasar is not exactly cheap either!

You meant the 'yum char' brand? 
I saw them in JP too and they are cheap and was told the 2.2uF cap which is as big as the F-ELNA is in fact F-Y.C

Before i forget, i would like to mention that expensive caps do not promise best of sound, its material and accurate value that should be looked at. But i know many appreciate their DIY gadgets and want the best, my advise is use boleh2 caps and for final "dont want to mode any more" caps change to better ones.

From my brief experience i found changing value and material of cap has the most kaw SQ change
