Erm hopefully one of you guys can help me out with this. I want to pay my bill but I don't have the bill with me as I am currently away in Uni and the bill is addressed to my house. Can I just go to the Celcom Centre and pay via my account number without bringing the bill? And it's stated there that the amount due is RM16.55. This is my first bill. Is it true it's only RM16.55? I paid RM98 during registration early last month but I thought it was the registration fees and that I would get charge again for my first month usage. I'm totally confused over this and am hoping that I could pay my bills without the physical bill. Wouldn't want my internet to be cut off (= Thanks!

Added on August 5, 2008, 10:30 pmAnd, one more thing. How do you know if you got HSDPA or not? I'm using Asus T500 modem in Gombak. If it says 3G or 3.5G then it's HSDPA right? I'm subscribed to the D98 plan. I noticed lately that it seems like I can't connect to the internet after 10-15mins although the software shows that I'm connected. During those down times which last from 5mins to an hour I can't surf, or even connect to MSN. Is this normal? Thanks (=

1.with regards to ur question on the RM 98 registration fee, that was actually for ur first month charges...the reason you have to pay another additional RM16.55 is due to their prorate and so on

2.if ur modem says 3G ur not on HSDPA. 3G means ur on UMTS only...3.5G is HSDPA

3. with regards to the disconnection issue, if it happens juz disconnect and reconnect...or you can try pinging to keep ur connection alive...

Any modem would do.
My recommendation, just take the package only without modem and you can buy the modem at garage sales. I'm using E220 and it's working perfectly. smile.gif

Once you get the modem, don't forget to set APN to celcom3g and number *99#

If you experiencing difficult to conect, that may cause of overload traffic which the tower unable to handle.

latest update from one of the user for STUPID SLOW f***ING CELCOM BB.

*from friday to sunday couldnt connect to internet using 3g line but only GPRS line. area -> shah alam section 24.

*right now cannot open any website at all despite i passed the connection with 3g line. area -> UNITEN KAJANG

both situatuions were using n73 as modem.

any advice? damn it.

Hey. I got the same problem also using nokia 6120 as modem. Got 3G/3.5G bars but very slow and got dc several times, and even I couldnt open websites at all.

Today I just got my Huawei E220 modem instead, and it saved my day smile.gif Fast and steady connection.

Maybe that's why they say connecting via phone isnt that good.

i notice that there are range of ip address that stable and unstable. normally for surfing, those ip address starts from 10.188 or 10.58 is good enough. but when it comes to downloading files, those ip address wont give u more than 10Kb. 10.176.x.x is the lousiest ip range. but for downloading, from my experience, 10.141 would give you the 3g speed. whenever i want to download some files, i do connect and disconnect in order to get the 10.141 ip address...
it may vary from you guys.. but these are truly from my experience..

Yesterday, Celcom was really horrible....keep on hanging(can't receive data) even when line is connected at full bar. Today much better though. WHole morning stable and i don't have to keep disconnecting/reconnecting.

Today I just discover that , Celcom broadband got problem and suck.

It block many block access behind their server.
I totally cant connect to the Lineage2 game server where using port 7777.

This mean , whoever plan to play game on Celcom broadband is no hope.

Somemore , it blocks some non standard port where usually we use perform some private application server program.

that's quite cheap for HSDPA connection, but the network may get congested in this short time if more customer register and use the service.

Nah , the real reason is that celcom users are using 1 Public IP. Now , suppose if I get myself banned , chances are the Administrator (or Game Master) will issue an IP ban. Not only the user can't enter but whole of celcom customers who are behind that IP Address. That is one of the disadvantages of using celcom !
