i have a question,
im using d98 btw...

the problem is, i cannot even download a file from rapidshare and megaupload.. it say that my ip is already downloading some....
even when i want to dl anime from realitylapse it display error code '404 Forbidden'

pls help me with the solution...

Keep in your mind that celcom bb using SHARED IP. That's why you, and other users unable to download anything from Rapidshare or Megauload, unless you have a premium account, that would be no problem.

just singed up celcom bb d98 last wed. staying at condo jln kuching area. at times the speed was ok, but til nw it was realy slow n get frequent disconnection. maybe because its been raining non stop these few days?

switched back to izzi. altho i didnt get the speed as celcom bb do, but its still stable. hope it gets better soon, otherwise i might terminate celcom bb b4 the 7 days period n get refund. damn.. was hoping to get refund frm izzi tho

i also never received the bill. but u can view your bill in celcom OCS. now their OCS has been upgraded. 'celcom d68/98 data plan only' can be registered here already. previously cannot. to receive the temporary password, simply set the password to be sent to your email address during register process

these day i always hav reconnect and reconnect...
once i get connected, i only able to surf the net for a few minutes, after that my receive data will stop... then my connection lost.. reconnect again..

Got a few questions to ask:

1. I'm planning on subscribing to Celcom BB, the person in charge of the subscription ask my mother's name, but not my dad's. Why is that?

2. How long exactly the activation period. One forumer stated that the activation only need 2 - 4 hours. Bu, mine been told it will take 3 working days.

3. Celcom will cap the speed if 5G quota been reached. Is doing the "command prompt" trick will be include in the quota. I think it will, as the 5G include sent/received data.

4. I'm planning on getting D68 package. So, what's modem is appropriate - 3.2Mbps or 7.2Mbps.

I'll try to answer some of the q's. If I'm wrong, maybe the sifus here will correct me.

1. I guess it's for security purposes since each time when I'm calling the customer service, the operator will ask this question to confirm my identity.

2. It took 7 working days for me to get my account to be activated. I guess it differs between each person but 3 working days is a safe bet if you didn't apply @ the celcom branch bc if you submit your application there, it would be activated in 24 hours IIRC.

4. Huawei E220 is working just fine for me. It's a cheaper alternative and it really served me well for my purposes (surfing, torrenting & downloading).

especially in d evening, i cant load any website (even google.com) although i reconnect 10+ times!!

furthermore, i just can get 50-60kbit/s if i successful login!!

what is celcom doing?
