first of all, the price.. tongue.gif secondly, ikari laser got small lcd at the bottom of the mouse, so u can check out what dpi/profile u r currently using.. with ikari laser, u can change its dpi setting anytime u want WITHOUT installing the driver.. comparison with DA, ikari quality build is WAY MUCH BETTER than DA.. ikari is lighter than DA, so its very suit for gamers with high sensitivity, or even low sensitivity.. Razer DA got heat issue problem when u set it to high dpi setting, unlike ikari.. the button control for ikari much more responsive/ u dont have to click the mouse button hard for ikari... finally, ikari's driver much better.. biggrin.gif

what so special about steelseries mouse? why dont u google ikari's review and u'll see most of the review rates the mouse 9/10 or editor's choice.. (unlike other brand mice) its mostly due to its ergonomic design, suit for right handed pc user especially gamers.. about 3D optical, blue led optical, laser, sumthing sumthing, well, i dont really give a damn shit about them coz all of them are fairly accurate tracking tech for mice.. its all about the design, the quality build and the price.. steelseries ticks all of these requirements.. (although u'll need to fork out a bit more for it.. but hey, quality what matters the most and in this aspect, without shadow of doubt and crystal clear that steelseries won.. ikari FTW!

So an LCD panel and DPI switch makes the RM370 price tag worth it for the Ikari Laser? Remember the fact that the Ikari still uses 2G laser sensor, which makes it as skip-prone as Copperhead, G5 and Habu. As for DPI switching, I think most would agree with me that it's best to leave hardware DPI at max settings and adjust sensitivity in-game to maximise mouse performance. Your comment on build quality is interesting, what did you base this on? As for weight, you contradict yourself. It's a personal preference, and if you like light mice it'll work better for you whether or not you like high or low sensitivity. A heavier mouse doesn't mean its better, and besides, if mois is correct, Ikari is actually lighter, which makes what you said a farce. Razer DA's heat problem with DPI is just rubbish. The problem is related with the LEDs, which can be switched off. Nothing to do with the DPI. Button control, again, personal thing. In my experience, I've never had to click "hard" on any mouse button, even cheap RM20 ones. As for drivers, no comment, I haven't tweaked it yet.

Mind you, I am a fan of Razer, but I listen to reason. I'm pointing out the flaws in your argument in hope that you can really prove that the Ikari is worth the ridiculous price with points that are actually valid rather than uninformed guesses. It's far from "crystal clear" that SteelSeries is the best in anything other than having the highest price tag.

if u ask my opinion
i would say alwaz ask the users that have used the ikari mouse

as for me, i used many mouse b4 from DA, lachesis, G5, G9, ikari laser

so far i think ikari worth every penny spend on it
once u tried, u will know the difference, so stop ur stupid bullshiting around here when u dun use one, no to offend u phantom

oo yea bout the clicking "hard" thing..... wait till u try it, normally i would need to press a little harder to reach 180-200 apm in a game, but with ikari, i easily reach 200 apm, maybe its becos the spring is too soft tat u didnt notice u click 3 times d

just my 2 cents

Nice of you to assume that I haven't used one. I have, and it's certainly a good mouse, but hardly worth the price. Now if you'd kindly point out what I said that was "bullshit", I'd be more than happy to back it up with evidence. smile.gif Why don't you do some backing up of your own too? Considering you've really said nothing other than making a sweeping general statement that everything I've said is bullshit. Which sounds more like bullshit than what I said.

imo,
ikari optical mouse
pro:comfortable(each finger has its own landing) no nid kinda grab the mouse like razer xD, can play around between two sensitivity while playing, i tink the mouse is lighter den da although it looks bigger
con: nt flashy like razer, mouse is super different nid time to adapt to it, hand tend to get tired for smaller palm

on personal experience dun flame me xD

I used DA and ikari now. And i think ikari worth the price tag. Steelseries really did their homeworks on ikari's shape. U know, shape is the most important thing for a mouse beside from sensors. It is really comfortable too. It work well on every type of surfaces. Unlike DA, if u bring it on qck, GG la(unless qck heavy ma. brows.gif ). So, these are all my personal preferences ya. icon_rolleyes.gif

wow, u seems to be so pro about these mice, why dont u do a review for evryone here.. first of all, if ikari is as skip-prone as u had said, i dont think most pro gamers will use ikari.. mind you steelseries now sponsors more pro gaming clan than razer.. have u ever used ikari in high speed fps games like quake 3 or et wolfenstein? base on ur comments, i assume that u havent played them b4.. i played them a lot, and in my personal experience, ikari has better tracking capability than DA..(more accurate shooting and more headshots) i have DA myself and i had borrowed ikari from mois b4 (in which i'll gonna buy from him 2molo).. 2G laser sensor, so what.. dont think it will make a lot of different than 3G laser sensor anyway.. as for DA's heat problem, my comment juz now is base on people who had facing this problem.. i assume that its dpi problem becoz all ofthem facing this issue using high dpi ok.. i used low dpi for DA and did not feel any heat at all.. from quality aspect, its pretty weird that u seems to not agreeing with me eventhough u own ikari laser like u said.. plz, ikari build quality is 100x much better than DA.. DA, oh plz.. its felt as if it is made from cheap plastic.. my scroll button for DA now is not functioning well.. for the weight, maybe i misjudged its weight coz i was overly enjoyed my ikari experience that time.. as for driver, u'll know later.. razer is very famous of driver issues.. basically,if u update ur driver firmware, u'll have 2 results, better performance or mouse failure.. oh yeah, did i mentioned that u need to reinstall ur DA driver when u wanna replug ur DA to ur pc? tongue.gif so PhantomThief, plz, dont flame people anyhow u like.. its all base on self-experience okay.. not everything u heard is true in online reviews as not all mice from same brand and model are the same... geez.. plz fcuk off if u dont have any concrete proof to ur 'kind' statements.. thank you.. icon_rolleyes.gif
