Tbh, i got a broken optical, local dealers wouldn't rma
for me cost i got it from amazon...
Steel's official support said that they'll contact me, but its been days and i havent got a reply yet... zz

Anyhow, this is my summary on the mouse...
The ikari optical that i got has cable issues, it connects and dissconnects
randomly, but i manage to use it for some time...
Tracking is good, however, the liftoff is gay, utterly horrible, 7mm on
the destructor, on cloth pad i think its less, but still unusable...
Due to steel's dev team which consist of four random fellow's who does't
even have a proper degree, the tried to reinvent the mx518.510's optical engine, position it vertically, hence the insane liftoff distace and neg accel, casanova, saying steel is "new tech" whr they are just using logi's engine and trying to mod it but failed miserably is just LOL

As for the shape, its trully amazing, they did their homework here,
But still has its weaknesses, the mice is hard to lift, because its grip
is an outward grip, but the problem can be solve by

Maybe i'll get a laser version of the ikari later and do a review, but for the optical version, a dissapointment due to the high liftoff on hardpads mostly...

Added on September 22, 2008, 2:30 pmBy the way, casanova, for your info, laser tracks well with the destructor, because, how the laser engine works and how the destructor is designed, trying not to be wordy, so to put it short, the destructor surface is reactive with laser sensors that gives it a clear refelction hence the performance increase~

Da's ir sensor doesnt work well with the qck, its a know issue~

Just to update you guys, steel approved the reviews and provided me the samples, however, im goin back to my hometown next week, college break haha, so i'll do the review 2 weeks from now~

Anyway, i suggest you get your products from local distributer, as the rma process would be simpler, they also have newer batches of products campared to oversea retailers~

Erm, those using steel headphones, no offence, but you guys just
rush out and buy anything with "gaming" written on it...
Most of the time its just an inferior product with cool names,
dont get mad at me for telling you guys the truth, either
the senheiser hd555, or the audio technicha ad700 are
ten times better, anybody who doesn't trust me can
go buy one and compare them, but a good sound card is required,
i'm only interested with products that perform well...
Price wise, those headphones are more expansive, and doesnt have
a mic, thats the cons...
But if you guys wana know what is cheating, go buy a xi-fi extreme gamer/elite pro, and a senheiser or ac headphone, and try it out xD
I'm sure you'll get kick out of every room you play ^^

Same thing goes for the monitors, what 2ms lcd bullshit, who the hell buys that? Havent try gaming on a good crt before? 150hz is just so awsome,
with a good vga, 150 fps is just perfectly smooth, but on lcds, even you have a quadfire rig also no use, cause its input delay, signal delay, video lag, low refresh, can mention all the cons... Too much zzz
Hope i'll find a good viewsonic crt, all those lcd's are killing me...

i can only say i'm a old school deathmatch player, ut or quake,
the most minor lag occurs, we'll notice it straight away...
Alot of pro gamers refuse to enter matches with lcds lol
"We" refers to quake/ut players/ or pro cs players....

I said clearly, any condition, gaming, songs, anything, senheiser, or audio techs are better~
However they come at a price, and steels headsets are still decent for gaming and cheeper,
more convenient because of the mic too~

No offence, but again, ikari laser is more accurate then the optical, also, it tracks better then the da on qcks, why? Because the da simply skips on qcks, if you dont have problems, i am really interested in your sensitivity~ Most probably very high sens...
As for da being light? Lol? Its freaking heavy compared to the ikari, if i'm not wrong, the da is 133g, while the ikari is only 104 xD
