Depends on the cloth and your preference I supposed. I just find that even with washing you don't get the smoothness and silkyness like a new one.
I found a type of suede microfiber that I will try out this weekend if possible (and if it doesn't rain RedBox |

Hmm.. I would think if the paint job is done and cured properly, you should be able to use normal products and I mean normal polishing products of your choice. You shouldn't have to use anything special.RedBox |

Some part of the trunk got some oxidation abit but not 'chalky' yet. Is it necassary to use the sanding technique (1500 grit) then polish it?

I'm using machine one. Dun have the meguiars polish (except, polymer sealant, show car glaze). i use polyglaze. i sand using 1500 grit to get rid some minor scratch at bumper and polish it and it works. just not sure really need to sand the whole trunk or not just by oxidation |

Polish till it's hot, you mean like run the rotary polishing machine over the same spot for a long time. Ack! Don't do it.i sand using 1500 grit to get rid some minor scratch at bumper and polish it and it works. just not sure really need to sand the whole trunk or not just by oxidation I think it's time you have to face that maybe the paint in that area has been damaged enough hence waxing/polishing is not able to restore its shine anymore. Seeing your description, either try some other product or it may be time to look into some type of paint restoration process. RedBox |

I don't really know as I am not an expert on this. I would think your first step will be to go to an automotive paint shop and get their opinion. Once you have that, you can maybe look up information on the internet and see what other options you have.Have you tried other products to see if it will help? Maybe someone else can comment on this.
