QUOTE(seech @ May 3 2010, 04:36 PM) Thanks. PM replied.. Is Opti-coat similar to the so called glass coating, once it is bond to it..abit hard to comes off? As i can see, it require to rectify the paintwork to flawless finish to achieve best result...i don't mind spending several days to remove paint imperfection prior applying the sealant, and restore back the look to showroom shine. According to Dr. G of Optimum, its more like a polymer coating. Once it hardens it is like a second layer of clear coat so the only way you can remove the layer is to wetsand or compound it off. That's why the surface preparation below is critical as whatever is there will be sealed in and that Optimum requires the buyer to sign a release form indicating that they understand this and the risks involved.
The reason I did the test was to see how long the coating actually lasts. I know there are a few other 'coating' products on the market but I don't think anyone has actually done a comparison between them. We shall see.... |

It has been two weeks since my attempt at replacing the clear coat on a clear coat failure situation with Opti-Coat. Took some pictures to monitor the progress of the Opti-Coat.
The condition of the test section after the Opti-Coat application two weeks ago. 2 weeks later, the area treated with Opti-Coat is still beading quite well. After wiping down with ONR. The Opti-Coat seems to be holding up well with some nice water beading and the test area still looking nice and glossy. But, there is a slight issue with a section of the test area. Need to bear with this for about 4-5 months just 3 caps to 8 litres of water & no need a second bucket......as i left the 2nd bucket to rinse off the rims cleaning laterHosing it with water didn't make much difference. Anything I can do? after ONR mixtures....blueish ...water tension now is created to hold dust below & same time washes & lubricate rear bonnet before wash... after soaking the 1st microfibers in ONR...wipe on & buff dry with after wash...now u can see TOGWT wax check it out |

A kid spilled taufufa in my car 6 days ago. Now it stinks like heck.
I wonder if Meg's Odor Eliminator will help? I've tried cleaners from ArmorAll, Prestone and even Glade with odor neutralizers. Minimal success. Squeezed out some toothpaste to leave it overnight in the car also helps, but not enough to overcome the stench. How lah? This post has been edited by SweetPuff: May 21 2010, 12:33 PM |

Buy few packs of activated charcoal in your local hardware shop ( Mr.DIY ) and put inside the cabin where the sun can shine on it.
