QUOTE(Ppsprov @ Oct 11 2008, 11:02 PM) Hi LX3 fans.. No, but of course taking pictures of the snow itself is a problem.. I am planning to buy one LX-3 due to my trip. The country that i am visiting is snowing... Does it going to affect the camera in any way? It wont affect your photos. Seen a lot of people buying this camera at USA,England.etc..no one has complained. Cheers |

QUOTE(Ppsprov @ Oct 12 2008, 08:12 AM) Any specific problem on taking snow photo? such as fog and etc..... Not sure how the LX3 will perform at extreme temperatures.Anyone can share thier exprience? But my Lumix FX01 did withstand the extreme cold temperatures of more than -10 degrees at 3500 meters above sea level without even a single hiccup. Guess the LX3 can do the same. But I think the performance might vary from each camera depending on luck. |

QUOTE(Ppsprov @ Oct 11 2008, 11:02 PM) Just keep in mind a few things.1. Cold temp affects battery life. This is normal. I experience this every time I climb Mount Kinabalu. 2. White balance in places like ski resort (mostly white) can be tricky. Not so much in the cities where there are more colour variations. Experiment a bit with a few shots so you know what to expect. 3. Condensation that forms as you go in and out of cold and warm places can be bad on the camera, esp lenses. Just like what happens to your glasses as you walk out of aircon'd room. I didn't have much problem with this in the UK a couple of weeks ago, but it is something to be aware of. There are a lot of resources out there about these points - Google is your friend (Edit: Spelling) This post has been edited by adewhite: Oct 13 2008, 10:55 AM |
