maybe can bargain for more in the shop.

called Boeing, no stock for black colour too...

most of the shops quote me around 1550-1.6k thru phone, can get better deal when face to ace i think...

LoL.....Daruma......about your SDHC Class 6 speed again.....
I am using Sandisk Class 2 SDHC and honestly speaking, I don't feel any lagginess during viewing and also deletion of files during my 1+ month use.
But probably the way u r using is different with what I am doing.

1st things 1st, viewing files.
My playback features were very smooth.
almost no loading times I must say. For the bigger file sizes of 10.1mp, it loads the photos with similar speeds as my old FX01. So no complaints here for me.

2ndly, I don't plug my LX3 directly into my PC using the provided USB cable (unless I accidentally record some photos onto the build-in memory ).
Instead, I remove my SDHC card and plug it into my Apacer card reader.
Downloading one whole batch of around 50 photos took me "seconds" to complete using Adobe's Bridge CS3.
And deleting my photos from the card took me a fraction of the "seconds" it took to download them.
I am not sure what rig you are using, but maybe part of the reason it is slow is also due to your PC?

Not to bombard u or anything dude....but maybe u should check what is wrong with your card

1) Stupid zoom: a bit slow and 2.5x is pathetic but I rarely use more than 3x so it is still ok for me
2) Lens cap was a bit of a whore at 1st and increases the thickness of the overall cam, but I've learned to live with it though
3) If size is an issue, LX3 is bigger than what I expected at 1st, but still much smaller than a DSRL
4) The colors of the LCD tend to be a bit "warmer" than the real thing (Not an big problem bcoz the actual colors recorded in the photos are natural, just the LCD tends to display more vivid reds).

These are basically my complaints, but as you can see, most of them just needs some getting used to and you will be fine. Cons aside, think about the pros you will be getting. The Cons are basically dwarfed by the sheer greatness of the cam

when viewing pics. press and hold the direction. see if it skip through or refresh every picture.
mine the number can see it running, but the picture skip.

Anyway, I got my screen protector for RM30.
Expensive, but I don't want any scratches on my lovely LX3

You could just press the zoom backwards button and load the smaller thumbnails.
Then pick the photo you wanna view from there.

Yeah loh, maybe I should do that... too many hobbies liao and all are expensive hobbies.

got my lx3 today
bought it @ k-mart, bb plaza.
[4gb + casing + tripod + screen protector --> rm1500]

went to few shops to search for it, too bad not much stock for the black one,
planned to pay more to get the black one before get into this shop (k-mart),
the uncle is too good and i ended up to be too kind to get a silver one from him. LOL

wanted to get the cam from foto edar actually, the ppl there are so LC (despite so many good comments for this shop, I'll nvr visit the shop again) and offer me rm1.6 [case + 4gb], try to bargain cz they have the stock for the black one, but 1.6k is their very best price.

price survey:

where to get the lens protector for lx3? the position of the lens is quite dangerous, need sth to protect it.

Got a finger print on my lens the 1st day I bought my king of kings.
A present from a gal fren who didn't know much about cams.
hahahaha.....

Anyway, I just wiped the grease off with the soft cloth provided by the shop.
I guess spectacle cloths would do nicely also.

lenspens is for cleaning the lens .

lens protector/ filter, u need to buy the converter and fix on it. your Lx3 will become very big edi

martin fields i think RM40-50
invisible shield maybe RM80 +, but it covers whole body
