Is there any review on Acson air con? I have been recommended Acson brand by a vendor and was told that it is comparable with York and Daikin...
*
Acson warranty claim not efficient as york, i prefer you go with York much better customer service..

I am very sensitive to noise, my neighbor daikin just use one year plus the compressor make noise, I inform her twice because 2 compressor making noise.

Per you say non inverter. My house Ac compressor parked side by side all running without vibration, my old office compressor area just beside server room using for so many years running everyday for 12 hours non stop including weekend all no vibration issue.  No need replace mounting. My inlaw house using national 2hp, think 14 years now not a single noise on the compressor.

Go around shop lot, see non inverter make vibration or not.

And if you have the so call mouting photo please show, I taken out few old compressor don't see any so called mounting, is only screw down to the metal base.
*
ok you got your reason... too, i love my inverter for save the noise issue... blush.gif

R u sure inverter that make the a/c quiter? Not because it is new and different make and model?
*
Not cheated you, I'm the user for what I usage everyday.

Quitter is one thing off what you paid as worth for money and enjoy it every night.

Current I own hitachi DC inverter for Others Room indoor air flaw noise really worst than Mitsubishi Electric StarMex inverter for my Living hall and masterbed room.

Hitachi Noisy at low speed still can near the air flaw noise.
Starmex got quiet mode at 19db only. For low speed at 21db that's can't hear any noise at all.

So how do you solve water leakage? All A/C comes with filter, no?
*
This one ahh... You got screw driver and open up the casing and clean out all the water drain for jelly thing.

Also use and same size of strew slot in on indoor drain pipe and use mouth to blow with air mixed with water too.

Can be blow out as many dust & jelly until the water running smoothly with not stuck at all, then put back the while casing with screw back that so..

Im not saying u cheated me. But from d way u explain just now, i can say that mitsubishi is quiter than hitachi, not non inverter is noisier than inverter.

Anyway, have u tried to select silence mode on ur hitachi?

N have u tried daikin?
*
Even silent mode also can't flight. The air flaw noise can be killing my ear.. Lol
What ever installed already just face to usage until spoiled and change into Mitsubishi electric starmex

You wrote earlier "Take note for non inverter of bigger Hp, after usage a period you will realise of wall vibrator or can hear the compressor running noise."

As all non-inverter will have such problem, and inverter got no such problem. Unless you have such data to proof.
*
No worried,, that claim from my Aircond contractor.
Cause due to vibrator until the sliding door got sound..lol
Cause I'm lucky to chosen inverter type.

Wah.. so many brand that u used. Almost all already excpt daikin. Why r?

I do agree they way non inverter ac works MIGHT make it prone to vibration. But with good dampner the prob can be solved, not much an issue. Even inverter type ac also can vibrate like hell if the dampner goes kaput.
*
Daikin ah.. nothing special.. don't easy clean model..

even buy york inverter also enjoy the same cooling.. rclxms.gif

from what i knew on daikin R22 pre model is using AC inverter..

that's why i go with hitachi & Mitsubishi electric.. even my friend in singapore is aircond contractor he also said Daikin ah... you want the brand and not want do more repair works. hmm.gif

Nothing special? Its d only inverter using r22, d only n one of its kind swing compressor n d quiete level is quite superior.

Daikin is not easy to repair? Who says this bro?
*
Hmm I Guess daikin already running R410a model like Singapore now.. Baru energy saving smile.gif

R22 really older already.

How bout price for daikin R410a vs R22 in 1hp now?
For last time I asked is more expansive then Starmex inverter

Old does not mean no good. Who say r22 inverter not saving energy?
*
Claim from my friend he own now, not even cold at 25 degree, he almost use at 22degre for smaller room size.

22 vs 25-27 degree on R410a which one can save more?

Some have variable speed. But not sure which model and brand. I read it in their marketing material.
*
Most of inverter brand is variable fan & compressor speed of outside temperature self adjust speed.

That's outdoor cut off an indoor still few is cold without become warm.

The aircond vendor told me that the inverter ic board (not sure that's the right term) only comes with 1 year warranty and it will cost rm700 to replace if spoilt..
*
Just avoid to buy Panasonic only,
Even York still cheaper.

Mine both hitachi & Mitsubishi already running near to 4 yrs Liao smile.gif

So far so good still keep the same cooling.
Just got one of hitachi unit wire cable failed.
Due to DC current is quite sensitive, even the power wire no broken but can't switch on, after change wire can function all.

QUOTE(jutamind @ Oct 14 2013, 04:37 PM)
many years back, i was using daikin inverter 1.5hp with R22 gas in my master room (15ft x 15ft). during the months with hot weather, it took quite some time (~1gr) to cool down the room as part of a side of a wall is facing afternoon sun.

now, i'm thinking of fixing mitsubishi elec starmex 1.5hp which uses the new gas. will it perform similarly as daikin inverter, ie not cooling enough? or is it starmex has higher cooling capacity/btu due to newer gas? or i need a starmex 2hp?

PS: cant really find the btu for starmex 1.5hp in the web site to compare against daikin inverter 1.5hp.
*
I guess u go for 1.8hp for starmex now, due to cutting cost for fancoil become a smaller size as 1.0hp now.
Cooling wise may take longer a bit to compare as 1.8hp.

For 15ft x 15ft = 4.5x4.5m x 3.2m high is very common area, for what I can suggest, go for Starmex inverters to be save time and quick cooling for set at 25 degree only.
Fan speed at low already good than enough.

Cause for my living hall + dinner area is open until kitchen area.
For my Starmex 2.5hp inverter only set at 25-26 in low fan at afternoon sun.

currently i am using panasonic inverter 1 hp in my bedroom..the aircond unit was good(thumbs up), but the compressor(which place outside my room window) was kinda noisy..at night can hear the sound while on bed. it is brand new.

so now i am thinking to get an aircond for my new house master bedroom. same thing the compressor, i will place outside my window too...but after having bad experience with my panasonic, i m thinking to try other brand which compressor operate quietly. i need recommendation from fellow forummers here. smile.gif

my budget : less than rm1.3k
requirements : 1hp, inverter, QUIET compressor, aircond blower(left to right : can swing 140 degree), easy maintenance, usage about 3 hours per day only...

any that suits my requirement?
*
wanna get more cooling and saving more, just go with Starmex inverter guaranty you set in 25-26 degree good enough, even place outside of window still quiet in working.. easy clean and bigger condenser can keep more faster cooling time..

Aish.. i do support inverter la bro.. regardless of brand.

Back to my comments. recommend is diffent than guarantee. Even if u say guarantee daikin is good, i will comment u as well bro.  tongue.gif
*
Same my history here...
Why i didn't chosen on Daikin? due to malaysia daikin too slow marketing in passed 3 yrs... still ruining R22 inverter at that time..

Even you wanna buy from R410A for inverter for 1hp in many air cond shop they quote me on 1hp at Rm1750 without installed, also waiting 1-2 months delivery from thailand or singapore.

So end up to decided mitsubishi starmex inverter never regretted so far..

Daikin got eye sensor to detect human in place, but expansive parts.
Panasonic inverter all made in china, but not durable, from some shop they recommend to add extra warranty for PCB, also smaller size of outdoor condenser.
Hitachi since is old brand also done in good job in non-inverter for higher BTU at 10k and come with silent mode, but today all DC inverter an not silent/quiet mode at all, even use on quiet mode you can feel not enough cooling all the area..
Mitsubishi Starmex since is most popular in Singapore for 1-3/1-4 split... end out decided to Starmex had not regret.. laugh.gif
