i m looking for aircond that can swing(left-right and right-left) to at least 140 degree..
reason is i m currently using panasonic inverter, and i can't feel the air if i sit more towards the right side(use laptop)...no matter how it swing, it cover only 90 degree(estimate)...  sweat.gif

any aircond unit can "cover more area"?
*
Set lower temp + higher fan speed, can cover wider area.
Panasonic inverter got offer with 360degree of swing left & right + up down in auto mode.
Unless your panasonic inverter under power smile.gif

Even i set it to auto(both up-down & letf-right swing), i can't feel the air if my sitting/standing location is out of the 90 degree coverable area  sweat.gif

yes, unless i set to highest speed, else i can't feel the air..

For Mitsubishi starmex should not have it issue..
Maybe is more cooling at whole area..

Agreed with u.
my 1.5HP panasonic inverter deluxe also got the same issue.
it is quite loud but not until it affect my sleep.
but mostly during "pick up" period. after 20mins it seems back to OK sound.
The funny thg is, the 2.5HP inverter compressor seems quiet than the 1.5HP one.  notworthy.gif

this photo taken during installation, so the hole filled up already smile.gif
any idea if i can take off the red sticker if will void the warranty?

For sure sticker just present that aircond got 5 star energy saving only.
If cannot peel off, then my LED tv cannot watch already.
In 4 corner pasted sticker too.

Panasonic had cost cutting that's why more noisy, like my hitachi inverter also same.
After usage less than 1 month to be relocated into other room smile.gif
After used the starmex had no issue at all.
When starting got nimor casing Ta Ta sound due to plastic temperature changed is very common.

Hmmm. I heard a lot of good comments on Mitsubishi Starmex. Are you referring to Single Split vs Multi Split? What is Pros and Cons?

Thank 1st for your comments. Cheers.
*
In m'sia no body use multi split unit.
1 compressor fault = all cannot used smile.gif

The pros i can see so far (1) save space, (2) lower maintenance cost.  tongue.gif
*
Sorry is no choice to installed single unit.

Con :
Expansive piping due to from end to end joint to the main condenser only.
Once PCB fault all can't used
One compressor to support all room, for total BTU to have sharing all the rooms, do u think can keep cooling as fast than single unit?

So far in m'sia is the winner at all.
One unit fault and replace easily smile.gif

My Master bedroom is using Panasonic inverter 1.5HP. Not noisy at all, even compressor are silent.

Earlier had a problem with gas leak this are due to installation issue, and taken down the compressor and blower few time to check. It does make noise after that, but is due to re-installation issue and rectified later.

Most of the time when users complain noisy is because the installation was not done properly.
*
My left right neighbor installed panasonic in 1st batch of 12k btu inverter still running well and fan motor & compressor noise still not much diff than when new, just slightly higher a bit, due to dirty fan blade.

The other side installed Daikin non-inverter after 1 yr usage the noise still same as older aircond.
The noise like King King Kong kong..

in between daikin vs mitsubishi vs panasonic
all 1hp inverter, which 1 you guys will go with? i plan to use it in my room.

my requirements : quiet compressor and aircond unit, blower can swing at least 120 degree(right -> left, left -> right).
*
Daikin & Mitsubishi electric has bigger condenser unit can be cooling faster than Panasonic use mini size of condenser to save cost.

The only Panasonic deluxe type has fully auto swing up down & left right.

If compare all here for Mitsubishi starmex 8.5k at 640w only

Why you place all this heater in close environment? Don't have better open place? Not noisy and hot?
*
inverter aircond outdoor had variable speed, from starting will running high speed after while will reduce the speed as low fan mode and running low compressor speed then won't feel hot like non-inverter full keep in full speed load until reached the temp and stop and start again..
