Membrane filters with 0.01 micron like NESH wont filter off chlorine.

APDWS1000 is dual stage carbon block filter with thicker and better quality carbon block compared to AP Easy complete. It would b better if you can drop by my showroom as we are having promo til 30 Aug and it would b easier to explain with the actual product infront of us.

Just connect to show forumers that it could b done. Ofcoz, it would look nicer if it is installed properly. I m using my existing tubes to connect, didnt wan to cut as it will b a waste.

Ofcoz, installing it under sink is the best and save space.

You can install 3M AP902 outdoor filter but you need to double check with management whether they allow you to install or not.

anyone using 3m APDWS1000 and feel the water has like a soapy soapy kinda feel?

u turn on water let it run a  while on your palm, then rub ur fingers.. feels weird

Here is the reply from 3M US engineering team

Carbon Block used in APDWS1000 is acid washed wood based carbon. The acid is used to help clear the pores of ash during the activation process. The initial draw of water with a silky/soapy consistency might have an elevated pH due to the alkaline cleanser used to neutralize the acid residual.

Added on October 18, 2012, 6:43 amAnother thing to add on, some forumers saw the word soapy, they thought it is like soap. FYI, the water is smooth/silky initially due to alkaline as explained by 3M and it is safe to drink. Just need to flush approximately 10 min before using

I'm currently interested to buy the Coway Apollo Outdoor Filter (Rm2700) + the Water Purifier Petit CHP-06D (RM3400).

Free maintenance for 1 year, rm500 yearly maintenance for the 2nd year & above.

Any users have used Coway products before? How's the performance? Water is really filtered well?

Spoke to one of the seller here. I may need to get an additional water pump to boost my water pressure due to low water pressure caused by using the filters.

Appreciate your inputs! smile.gif

For that price u can get 3M AP902 Outdoor filter + 3M APDWS1000 indoor drinking filter (Less than RM 2k) as per my signature below, free delivery within Peninsular Malaysia. AP902 outdoor has very good flowrate of max 75 litres per minute, while regular sand or membrane filters are less than 40 litres per minute. So, you might not need to get an extra pump to boost the direct water supply.

3M filters are certified by NSF and it is fully imported from USA.

The alkaline will eventually got flushed out, i wont b like that all the time. Once all the alkaline has been flushed out, it wont b silky anymore. Btw, it is also to safe to drink alkaline water.

Got the link to say COway bankrupt?

Btw, not all filters with NSF are good. YOu will need to check which NSF standards that they meet. Some filters have NSF but for material only and not the water quality

If you are going to purchase a filter tap for drinking purpose, better check twice before buying. Some filter taps are brass while some stainless steel taps are not 304 grade or the cartridge used is made of brass.

3M undersink filter APDWS1000 comes with filter tap which was also sent to NSF for testing. So, you can be ensured that water going through the filter tap wont b contaminated.

My mandarin is not that good but i think i heard the conclusion saying that alkaline water is good for health is jus a gimmick and not 100% true. I read it online and also it was mentioned in the video that our body will automatically adjust the PH level. So, if u drink alkaline water, it wont affect our body's PH level. I like what the last person said, "water is H2O, what esle can it be"

Added on December 9, 2012, 11:28 pmYOu can try Apply Cider Vinegar or u need to get some skin care product to treat ur acne.

Anyone here use Hydro1 x-2000 outdoor filter? need some feedback. is it good and reliable? Thanks
*
Most membrane filters like Hydro1 are about the same, 0.01 micron filtration and optional automatic flushing. Most membrane filters will claim that they are durable, would not reduce water pressure and etc but in fact most membrane filters could not withstand high pressure and is quite fragile. No doubt filtration wise, membrane is the best but due to the super fine filtration of 0.01 micron, it will reduce water pressure a lot. The question is, is 0.01 micron filtration required for washing clothes, showering and etc? With the fine filtration, filters get clogged easily and require regular flushing (everyday). Here is a demo of it

yup no problem but i would recommend to put the tap on the right side instead. You don need filter water for garden, then the filter can last longer

Should b ard RM 250-300. However, we only provide installation for our customers as we dont really make profit from installation.

Since you can't access to concealed piping, you need to install diverter valve on faucet outlet to divert water supply to water filter.

Example of diverter valve: [Sample #1 & Sample #2]

Diverter valve commonly available at hardware store. Make sure you bought the correct type:
Tubing size: 1/4" (6mm)
Coupling type: Compression Nut
*
you can install it like this
