Ahh since you're using a Samsung washer dryer like me too (Im using a 13kg/8kg combo), do you experience the door being locked sometimes due to heat where the error message is "Door * buttons locked. Please wait. HOT".

This is after a wash+dry session. Happens like 60% of the time. Have to wait a further 1 hour or so for it to cool down then only the door is unlocked.
*
It is to prevent the user kenak steam/heat dmg when u open the door as the inner full of hot air.
Imagine if u open the door straight after the drying process and ur eyes kenak those steam sweat.gif

That's why it said "HOT"

I dont have that issue because I'll always wait for the the drying process to finish and by the time, can always open the door.

But i'd say its very inconvenient to stop a drying cycle even when it just started less than a minute. The door will be locked and have to wait for quite some time. So I'll always double check that I have put every single piece that needs drying before I start.

Also, do u notice that the drying efficiency will be less over time? Its because of the vent is blocked by lint. Quite an easy process to diy and clean the fan and vent.
*
I kind of notice it does sometimes happen even after the whole process is done. Then have to wait for like 1 hour before I can take out my clothes.

The problem is that sometimes it happens sometimes it doesn't. Kind of unpredictable sometimes.

ok thanks bro, will give it a try.

yes i wash white shirt together with bblack & Grey shirt          blink.gif

First rule when washing clothes, separate dark/grey/black coloured ones from white/light coloured. Jeans/denim material jackets wash separately also.

Undergarments and socks put in laundry bag so they don't get tangled and stretched together with other clothes. This way their elasticity will last longer. Anyway yeah good luck whiten back your white shirt.

You're mixing wash with other color cloth. Especially the new cloth.

Wash new cloth separately few time before mix together. Once the color dye stabilize, it won't effect others cloth.

Is it worth buying Washer Dryer Combo or just standalone washing would be suffice?

And I couldn't decide to stick with Samsung or LG.

Been seeing a lot of LG promos lately and I'm skewed towards LG for now.
*
I m using LG combo. If your house has 2-3person, a combo is fine. More than that, a separate unit will do the job faster.

Combo requires cleaning maintenance to clean the internal cloth lint and sensor. Once this sensor and air intake clog, the drying time is longer and won't dry enough. DIY maintenance is not difficult.

I would prefer LG as the spare part is cheap to replace. My unit has been breakdown 3x and currently waiting for parts for the motor side. Parts replace is reasonable and cheap.

Thanks but where is the sensor/fan/vent/lint filter again? All I can see from the manual regular maintenance portion is the debris filter which I do clean:

It's never mentioned in the guide coz u need to open the machine.

1. Open 2 screws at the back for the top cover. Push the top cover back and lift it to open.
2. Unscrew all the screws surrounding the blower unit. There are couple of slightly longer screw, so u need to make sure u know where it should go back later.
3. Open the top cover for the blower and inside u'll see the filter. Usually after 4-6 months it'll be covered with lint.

Kinda hard to explain here. When I'm free later I can make a video.

If u notice your clothes are still not conpleteley dry after u use the cupboard dry mode, then you'll need to service this filter.

Anyway yours is a newer model. Bought mine two years ago.

Manual don’t have DIY cleaning. Cause it doesn’t encourage consumer to service.

Got to open the back and top cover. Than the dryer side cover. The pic show the dryer side cover already open.

I circle out is the sensor. The round plastic intake inside have another sensor. (Arrow) All the sensor will clog with lint. Need to clean up.

Prepare a long brush to scrub inside the round plastic intake. (Arrow) Can pour the water in to flush away the lint. But not the heater side.

There is a fan motor on the cover need to clean up too.

My 10 year 8.5kg Hitachi is still working but the damper has gone very bad and it vibrates too much during spin. I took the opportunity during Lazada sale last week, ending up buying 15kg LG-F2515STGW. Anyone uses this model? Mind to share your feedbacks? Many thanks smile.gif

I seriously doubt you'll select Samsung after this, given your current problems, but the made-in-Thailand Samsung WA-23A8377GV/FQ is a 23kg top loader washer with a 11-year warranty on its digital inverter motor https://www.samsung.com/my/washers-and-drye...wa23a8377gv-fq/

We're considering this Samsung actually, any comments, thoughts?

Was considering this or the LG, but the LG had one quirk, the LG lid just slammed shut whereas the Samsung didnt, surprised they overlooked something this simple.

Thank you. Wonder if it is possible to get Samsung to do this? Or ask any other repairman or something?

You can launch a complain in the website/email/service.

Just write like “the drying is long hr or not drying completely “

But you might get con to change some sensor or parts.

Hi guys, shopping around for a front load washing machine, narrowed down to Sharp and LG. What do you guys think is better in reliability and efficiency?
