Hi guys, shopping around for a front load washing machine, narrowed down to Sharp and LG. What do you guys think is better in reliability and efficiency?

Personally, I only trust LG washing machines.

I'm on my second washing machine. The first one lasted more than 10 years of heavy use.

I'm still deciding front load Samsung 10kg vs LG 10kg

Samsung - WW10TP44DSX
LG - FV1450S4V

Both pricing are quite identical and seems like LG inverter DD has slight edge against Samsung's Digital Inverter.

Any input from users here?

I applied for SAVE 3.0 and got it. Subsidize the shipping cost a bit. LG seems favourable now. Haha

You found a cheaper price elsewhere (other official store / sellers), let them know and they will match or beat the price

I've emailed LG and got some clarification from their customer service.

Apparently the naming Turbo Wash has been renamed.

LG FV1450S4V - Quick30
LG FV1450S2W - Turbo wash

So it's safe to say Quick30 is the new Turbo Wash function

i think its slightly different although the purpose of function is supposed to be the same (ie: quick washing)

Turbowash have water jets that spray out from different directions onto the drum. I don't think Quick30 have the same thing....

[EDIT] I read your screenshot again and i think you misunderstood

Turbo wash is the same program as previously known as Quick 30

Ya perhaps I interpreted it wrongly. However, not sure if Turbo Wash is any better or not. Since newer models tend to remove it.

And the newer model is cheaper around RM300 compare to the older model with Turbo Wash

Edit - looking at the newer model https://www.lg.com/my/washers/lg-FV1450S4V can see the Quick30 option.

The reply from the CS shown in your screenshot seems to imply S2W is the newer model, since Turbo Wash is meant to replace Quick30

using FV1450H2B since 2020
used daily at least 1 load.
turbo wash takes 39 minutes to complete a cycle with cold water temperature and highest RPM spinning.

I am confused but never mind. Just opt for newer models. Since this is my first front load machine, there's much to learn about.

Toshiba Washing machine.. should be OK, right?

Bought Toshiba AW-DG1500W, like 2 years ago.
Hitting the first year, the water sensor broke. The sensor won't detect water level when filling in (choosing 3-4th level causes non-stop water filling).
A technician came (took almost 4 weeks for parts, and covid), so everything's fine after that.

Now another year past, start having problem again.
First, i got EL error (which i guess something's wrong with the PCB and inlet sensor), coupled with E23 (door lock).
Technician came, and replace the board.
Days later, now it throws E-23, E-79 and E-63.
Technician came again, replacing the door lock.
He did test a bit after that.. *seems* like OK.

But few days after that, same thing happens.
He came this time, open up the back panel and check stuff...
He said nothing's wrong.

Just now start washing. Got same error plus an E-64.
Possibly he's gonna take the machine out.

Does LG & Samsung wm as good as panasonic?
I prefer Pana but they only hv 11kg as the highest capacity for front load. My current wm is electrolux with 12kg capacity and started to show signs of old age (bought in 2012).

I have shortlisted these 3 models:
LG F2515STGW - 15KG
Samsung WF17T6000GW/FQ - 17KG
Panasonic NA-V11FX2LMY - 11KG (last choice if only LG or Samsung not as good as Pana)

Anyone have bad experience with LG or Samsung wm?

Go for LG. Their home appliances have better reliability than Samsung

My parents got a Panasonic washing machine. TBH it is a reliable unit that doesn't give any issues to them.

However, technology wise I think LG tops Panasonic.

I just replaced my 10 year old Hitachi wm (8.5kg) with LG-F2515stgw 20 days ago. So far so good, very quiet, and it’s an IOTs, perfectly welcomed to my smart home. Hope it’ll last at least 10 years
