Is it worth buying Washer Dryer Combo or just standalone washing would be suffice?

And I couldn't decide to stick with Samsung or LG.

Been seeing a lot of LG promos lately and I'm skewed towards LG for now.

Do you have a place to dry your clothes? If yes skip the dryer as it will not be necessary.

I guess washing function should suffice as I have space for clothes to dry

I'm using a samsung washer dryer combo.

If I have extra money, I'll get a separate unit. Not sure if its just mine, but the drying process took a while about 2-3 hours. So during that time, I cant use it to wash another round of clothes.

To cut down the time, i wash all the clothes and hang dry the big clothes and only dry my kids clothes.

I dont have exp with LG, but I'm pretty much satisfied with what I'm using now.

I never thought of that. Especially when drying occupies the machine. thanks for the advice

You're mixing wash with other color cloth. Especially the new cloth.

Wash new cloth separately few time before mix together. Once the color dye stabilize, it won't effect others cloth.
I m using LG combo. If your house has 2-3person, a combo is fine. More than that, a separate unit will do the job faster.

Combo requires cleaning maintenance to clean the internal cloth lint and sensor. Once this sensor and air intake clog, the drying time is longer and won't dry enough. DIY maintenance is not difficult.

I would prefer LG as the spare part is cheap to replace. My unit has been breakdown 3x and currently waiting for parts for the motor side. Parts replace is reasonable and cheap.

Thanks for your insight. LG's AI DD seems pretty nice to have. thumbsup.gif

I'm still deciding front load Samsung 10kg vs LG 10kg

Samsung - WW10TP44DSX
LG - FV1450S4V

Both pricing are quite identical and seems like LG inverter DD has slight edge against Samsung's Digital Inverter.

Any input from users here?

I applied for SAVE 3.0 and got it. Subsidize the shipping cost a bit. LG seems favourable now. Haha

I've emailed LG and got some clarification from their customer service.

Apparently the naming Turbo Wash has been renamed.

LG FV1450S4V - Quick30
LG FV1450S2W - Turbo wash

So it's safe to say Quick30 is the new Turbo Wash function

i think its slightly different although the purpose of function is supposed to be the same (ie: quick washing)

Turbowash have water jets that spray out from different directions onto the drum. I don't think Quick30 have the same thing....
[EDIT] I read your screenshot again and i think you misunderstood

Ya perhaps I interpreted it wrongly. However, not sure if Turbo Wash is any better or not. Since newer models tend to remove it.

And the newer model is cheaper around RM300 compare to the older model with Turbo Wash

Edit - looking at the newer model https://www.lg.com/my/washers/lg-FV1450S4V can see the Quick30 option.

The reply from the CS shown in your screenshot seems to imply S2W is the newer model, since Turbo Wash is meant to replace Quick30

I am confused but never mind. Just opt for newer models. Since this is my first front load machine, there's much to learn about.
