Expensive delivery. Not sure if they will push fridge inside your home.

Prefer to buy from shop... some shop is cheap when they have sales, free delivery and unbox everything, push into your allocated space.

Not really.. i got cheap reasonable delivery.
Delivered by their shop partner and called to set appointment for delivery.. asked them to send after 6pm.
They even push inside and unbox it.
Need to search around with best deals in lazada.
Got around 1k+ discount in lazada.

Wait warehouse sale better...

The only good deal online that I saw is on TV, soundbar and A/C.

Hi All,

I am looking for a new refrigerator and I have shortlisted this one as it has the best price as compared to the others in this range.
I could not find any specific review or information about this anywhere.

Is there anyone here that has experience using this exact model or Samsung refrigerators in general?

Looking for Black/Dark Color fridge that have 90 degrees door opening angle,

After more than 20 visits to various electrical store. So far we only found 2 that match our requirement, Hisense RS666N4ABNIV side by side and Toshiba GR-RF608WI-PMY 4 door. Now leaning more towards this Toshiba

If silver then have more choices

invertor - yes. I believe nowadays 90% of new fridges you can find already with inverter. It makes more sense since your fridge will be on 24/7. unlike aircond which still have some argument to go non inverter
brand - generally most are ok, depends mostly on your luck. just avoid LG fridges with linear inverter compressor, got well known issue.
tech - up to personal choice. more tech = more expensive = more chances of something to go wrong in the long run

I'm using Hisense SBS (RS688N4ABU). 6 months in so far no issues. Its cheap and spacious so hopefully if it can last min 5 years for me then its good enough

iinm Toshiba fridges nowadays are OEM from Midea or some other China brand

I read in China forums and website that actually Haier is the top choice when it comes to China branded fridges, so can consider them as well

Swallow and narrow but I read multidoor is still more practical than side by side.

Like many people said, fridge I think most of the brand should be ok. Just avoid LG linear compressor, and choose one with better after sales service but fridge rarely spoil. I didn't look for the model you mentioned because we also want the dept less than 700mm haha. Very specific needs.

i have the same requirement as you.... depth less than 700mm. i've surveyed many and went with that model because the depth only 643mm. it's very hard to find SBS / multi door fridge with depth less than 700mm, and you need to consider extra 50mm gap between fridge rear and wall as well

643 + 50 = ngam ngam 693mm

most people actually prefer side by side (you can refer comments in video below). after using it for 6 months (initially i prefer multi door also) I've grown to like it. Easy to organise both freezer and fridge, tons of space for freezer. The only con was if you have very wide items it might not fit in the space but so far I've put in whole birthday cakes with box no issues

a lot of expensive or luxury built in fridges are using side by side design

Practical or not depends on your preference, if kitchen space allowed, I would go for 2 door 600-700L fridge laugh.gif multi door has very good storage space and good for kitchen with narrow walkway, just the freezer compartment I don't like

Multidoor benefits is that generally there is 5 to 6 separate doors which you only open 1 or maximum 2 to access, especially the freezer. This help in maintaining the temperature. Another point is multidoor let you seperate your items so that smell of raw meat is keep inside a specific compartment. The ice cube will not have funny smell.

9yrs having the Hitachi multidoor fridge.

The separate compartment with french door are the best. Separate ice maker.

Even the fridge is big, but it save energy. Because of the multidoor. I only open the door where the item I want. So the cool air lost is minimal.

Cooling is fast with the separate smaller freezer compartment. (There is another big freezer compartment) And frequent food you need can keep in this smaller compartment.

So far the bad is, I need to do maintenance like every 6mth to clean the condenser behind. If not. the energy consumption is going up and the rubber seal will get mold from the body water condensing.

I will get back to the multidoor anytime. But the price are very expensive now. 2x the time I brought. sweat.gif

How accurate are the stated net capacity I wonder.

Sharp multidoor gross 750L but net only 607L
Samsung SBS gross 670L net 630L

So huge different. Multidoor compartment seems like took up more space, but usability everyone always recommend multidoor.

Typically more compartments = more insulation needed = less usable space

Compared to SBS which only have 2 large compartments, its easier to maximise the space usage

Anyone know if the side-by-side door (swing) fridge has an average width of 2.8ft ~ 3ft? Anything smaller than this?
