hi all, we aim for Hitachi R-VG660P3M Big2 Series (510L) too..(http://hitachiconsumer.com.my/index.php/refrigerator#product_286) but saw some comment that this model have super noisy sound worr.... is it very terrible?? :hmm:

So how about Toshiba GR WG71MDA (535L)?? as this model don't have any energy saving rating & Inverter function..

Noise level is very depend on personal, if some one can record down this "normal running and inverter pick up noise" as sound clip and upload here will be great.

For me I was still prefer freeze at bottom, due to seldom open and won't hit your leg accidentally.

So last year was change to panasonic inverter 520L almost there, we still prefer the freeze at bottom.

Damn quiet so far no noise like not inverter when kick in the compressor shaking few minute and stop a while.

RVG is not inverter control? But from what i found out, R-VG710P3M is the latest model with inverter control and dual fan cooling.
http://hitachiconsumer.com.my/files/pdf/Re...g2_20140120.pdf

Please correct me if i am wrong.

How do find the noise level? is it noisy at the while? How loud is the noise? I just don't think the electrical shop will power on the fridge for me to test it...
*
sorry, my mistake..i'm using R-V750PM, we decided to buy that because it has that 5 Star Energy Efficient plus the inverter and dual fan cooling..as for the noise, it depends where you position it, if you put it in living room, next to your room then the noise is noticeable loh..

i'm using R-V710P3M. i will say that the freezer shelf compartment is abit too small. There are few comments on the noise from Hitachi's fridge. You might want to compare with other brands to determine whether or not you can accept the noise level. I found it to be minimal and not a cause of concern. RVG (no inverter), RG has inverter..
*
Thanks for the feedback. Yes I'm agree with you that the freezer shelf compartment kind of small, but my wife prefer to have this model because of the brand and it comes with inverter.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, at this moment only Hitachi, Panasonic, Samsung and LG comes with the inverter model, too bad for Sharp and Toshiba it only have 5 star rating saving. sad.gif

I went to few of Electrical shop in SS2, Setapak and Puchong, majority of them suggested to get Japan brand fridge like Hitachi (they are specialize in this), Sharp and Toshiba. Not recommended to get Korean brand fridge. Panasonic is not as good as National used to be. sad.gif

Perhaps can anyone please suggest any for me?
I'm actually looking for Japan brand fridge, with budget around 2.6K, around 500L of gross capacity and comes with inverter. Thank you. smile.gif

If the fridge is certified 5 stars, the electric consumption should not be too much different for inverter and non-inverter model.....

Any comments on the LG GR-J237AGXN? This is LG's Door-in-Door model (the one with the nice floral motif on the doors and a water and ice dispenser).

and so many brands i have survey, samsung fridge is the most acceptable price (for me).

Hi, I too am looking at a Samsung fridge. But after so many negative feedback, i am a bit reserved eventhough the price is attractive. Have you had any problems with your fridge as yet? (you should have been using it for at least 7 months now) sound volume? leakage etc?

Other samsung users, welcome to comment too biggrin.gif

You can get around RM2600 (plus/minus) in outside for R-VG660P3M. brows.gif
SenHeng is selling it at RRP and it comes with additional 1 year warranty, that's why much more expensive. wink.gif
Today is the first day of Modern Home Fair 2014 in Mid Valley, maybe you can get good bargain for Home Appliances? I'm going in tomorrow btw... wink.gif
