my hitachi is inverter. some how has the high pitch sound. I have to bare with it if hitachi can't fix the problem. feel quite sad of this refrigerator. hopefully can bare with it

Ya. I should buy Panasonic where a lot of ppl saying it is quite and very practical to use.. I trust panasonic brand. Never regret of all the panasonic device i bought, like washing machine, aircon, iron, etc. Just that i am not use to the bottom freezer design which make me go to other model.

The Hitachi customer service return my call saying that they order the compressor sound insulation from factory and will install it. Was told that it will reduce the compressor sound, some customer satisfy with it, some not...

Looks like they also aware of this design issue and have some solution for it. Let's see how the insulation stuff work.. Will update you all once it had been installed. God bless me

Mostly Japan now using the new type made in Japan fridge. Freaking quiet.

Last 3week ago visit my colleague home in Japan. This is the new fridge type they using. Didn't hear any noise even their kitchen just behind the hall without any partition. Toshiba brand. Not just him, last weekend visit my retired teacher. He too using this kind of fridge.

Just noticed that your Freezer temp is set to minimum (level 1), so does this activate the EcoNavi?
Mine nope and I have set it to Level 2 (Medium)

saw a fisher & paykel fridge ~470l inverter unit ~rm7000+ at impressive energy rating (~385 on the energy sticker), price not far from the imported made-in-japan fridge, full sheet stainless steel finish (only the door la, side not sure) as well as the door handle, told to be made in thailand. may consider for those exotic class people.

Considering the 535L now... so far best price quoted was RM2380 (additional 2% for CC). Glass is a fingerprint magnet tho' 

By the way, anyone here 'buys' used fridges? My fridge it's in a good condition; hopefully i can get some money out of it...

anyone using Panasonic 602 liter model...from Rm3199 now selling at Rm25xx

what's the pros and cons of this model ? Thinking to get it ...tot majority house appliance will be on Pana brand...aircond, heater etc

After reading more than 20 pages in this thread i think i AM DROPPING Hitachi even it has impressive inverter technology and 'looks' good design

My 1st choice was Panasonic NR-BY602XS but later my dad feedback the bottom drawer type freezer door might be trouble or hard to open when it filled up with heavy things...

NEXT i jump  to Mitsubishi MR-F62E which is TOP freezer but smaller (print point and size still Pana win)

Then TODAY i did tot CONSIDER Toshiba but read someone freezer cracked after 2 years use....

SO  Panasonic NR-BY602XS or Mitsubishi MR-F62E ???   

Since its on drawer design now, would the slider become fragile once its fully/overloaded ?? Worrying.....if normal 2 doors  top freezer we also dun open frequently...just tot about ease of accessibility instead need to BEND down to pull

i browse through the comments here and looks like Hitachi got praised high for its performance.

i am personally prefer samsung but it is solely for their appearance. i am planning to buy side-by-side two door model.

is samsung reliable when it comes to refrigerator? here in my office there is a samsung fridge but so far so good.

Need to understand between trend and good product.

People said now "blowing kpop wind". That doesn't mean the product is good.

It is not about bad. It is the trend.

When the wind blow at China trend, you will be buying HAIER, GREE or KONKA etc..... And it continue. China brand even more cheaper.

I using korean product for very long. Before you promote it. I don't buy thing base on trend.

My Samsung microwave is already 17yrs old. And it still in my kitchen. My LG washing/dryer is already 6yrs using without any problem.
