I just called TGV just now & I was told the followings:
1. Dates available on TGV are for the advance booking 2. More screening mainly on iMAX 3D will be on sales later. To be checked by this Wednesday (Dec 4, 2019) after 3pm. 3. Unconfirmed for the midnite show (Dec 18, 2019)..no wonder i dont see any 3D on iMAX for Gurney Paragon Damn! I've got my iMAX (Dec 19, 11.30am @ Gurney Paragon) ticket soon after its on sale, when I wish to see in iMAX 3D & usually I'll go for midnite a day before its official released instead. Alamak...
If anything, "The Last Jedi" was critically acclaimed but fans panned it. So... this could be a good thing? It might end up in the early 70% if more positive reviews otherwise oh dear Regardless, seems like on a 'filmic/production' level, this trilogy concluding film has obvious flaws. Having said that, let's see how the more important Star Wars story element "concludes". I'm going in 50-50 knowing half of my questions will be answered while the rest will remain inconclusive. |

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker (2019)
What do I think of this?.... So So only... Would it have been better if J.J. Abrams stayed on for the Episode 8? Maybe The main problem is that Episode 8 deviated too much from J.J. Abram's original ideas... it was difficult to tie all loose ends here, so this movie is a bit of a mix bag... Carrie Fisher dying, did not help matters I suppose... The were actually two points in the movie I exclaimed W.T.F., I even surprised myself... And the ending.... » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « There was ONE surprise for me, and for a movie that supposedly cost USD 200 mill, that in itself is surprising. The best way I can state Kylo Ren and Rey in this movie is to quote QUOTE When you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth. – Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, stated by Sherlock Holmes. So this movie is either going to bake Disney a Gazillion dollar (if every red blooded teenager and Star Wars die hard fan buys in, go watch it SEVERAL TIMES OVER) or end up this year BIGGEST BOMB. Latest episode is actually the best out of the other episode for this trilogy actually. Good conclusion as well.
It doesn't really set a high bar, but it will do.. the mess of the previous episode didn't help much. Wish JJ directed the previous episode as well. I have no hope for the newest trilogy tbh.. it's the one who did The Last Jedi. Expected it to be bad and came back home happy, because it's actually not bad This post has been edited by Rei7: Dec 18 2019, 11:06 PM |

I like star wars including solo no matter what the storyline. The only show i cant digest is resistance, because i dont like the colouring method. It's now after 108 reviews, only 58% :( Might only end up 60%+ Yes, hoping for an epic conclusion to the trilogy... but not so hopeful now. For me the last jedi is a great movie. It take your expectation away. We all know, luke skywalker is a powerful character but mark hamill already old like harrison ford. Nothing last forever. |
