dunno la bro still waiting zhen wei ask from his supplier sweat.gif about cooler i think its juz same as HIS 3870 IceQ3 Turbo except 2 heatpipes. i've read from somewhere the whole metal piece on 3870 IceQ3 is made from aluminum and just painted in copper color. even though it is just aluminum, the cooler does a fine job at keeping the card cool thumbup.gif  i think if full copper cooler price will expensive lar doh.gif . at this price u get what u pay lar  icon_rolleyes.gif

Eeek? You're saying IceQ4 maybe like this also? Wha da hec? I nvr heard of such news before! Someone tell me it's not true sad.gif

IMO hardly u can find a FULL cooper heatsink la.. so fking heavy man, mostly ppl do is hybrid one, which is the best way to cool thing down.

like thermaltake duoorb also can't lower much tempearature if aply on 4870. artic cooling accelero much more beter in performance even it is not all copper materials.

copper not good in radiating heat i think. Unless u got uber fan to keep the copper temperature down, if not pointless for full copper. Copper ramsink should be fine.

i think tats the design problem of duoOrb, but not copper's problem.
copper is good in radiating heat, if not, zalman would not introduce so much copper based coolers.

FYI, copper must paired with a good fan and design take into account also when we are talking about heat dissipation. Zalman full cooper heatsink cant beat some of the alu/copper hybrid rite?

from what i've read
heat dissipation doesnt depend on the material
heat transfer from the chip to the heatsink is different though, copper definitely wins there
but aluminium is definitely lighter, cheaper and easier to make

ya, i agree with it.
take a look here:
http://www.newton.dep.anl.gov/askasci/eng99/eng99038.htm

"Copper is better because it's a better conductor of heat. The best by
far is diamond. It's thermal conductivity, especially at very low
temperatures, is unbelievable."
