Depends on what size tyre you wanna fit.. if just 195, 6.5 is more suitable..

if advanti rim, 15 rim only cost about 1k + tyre (RM200x4) + etc. so total could be around 2k without trade in old rim and tyre. taiwan rim should be cheaper

You guys seems to know alot about rims&tyres...

Can you give me an estimate of how much should a 21" rims be in Malaysia? No trade-in.
All 3 shops i've been to gave me a rather steep price for what i expect it to be.... not sure if they're just trying to make a quick buck off me.

Car is s400h, no trade in my stock 20"rims will be kept. (Yes i've tried to get the SC to arrange it for me but the 21" brabus s900 edition rims are not worth the insane rim price + the hidden shipping and handling fees)

Entry level then just buy those Lenso (Thailand), Advanti (Taiwan), or Enkei Tuning (Taiwan) rims, don't buy fake/replica rims though. if you have budget up to around rm2k, then you can try find used but ori Japanese rims.

Hey guys, can anyone tell me what would the advantages and disadvantages of changing from stock 175/65/R14 to 195/55/R15 on a Myvi 1.5?

Planning to get Advanti Storm S1 series rims.

The only thing kinda holding me back is worrying whether the car would feel too heavy after changing.

mine changed to alza rim with 195/55/r15 tyre. after 10k km of usage, i can conclude that the grip and handling improve significantly as well as the appearance.. pickup and fc are slightly poor but still acceptable. KL to Alor Setar can get 14.4km/l at average speed of 120kmh.

but with advanti rim should be no problem since its lighter. go for it rclxm9.gif

Thanks for your input smile.gif

May I know whether it's obviously heavier to get your car to start moving in traffic jam situations?

I daily drive it so I'm often stuck in traffic during rush hour.

My main reasons for wanting to increase to 15" rims are for overall stability and a bit of looks.

dont worry. its still can launch like normal myvi at traffic light..roughly 10% more heavier than stock. 1st month is noticable. but after that the ''heavy'' feeling is gone. laugh.gif
