Hi, any recommendation for myvi SE 2009...175/65/R14...not sure if upgrade to 15 inch have any benefit... need some advice... Thanks

Bro,

Wat 'benefits' are you looking for?

Rule of thumb of tyres..
the taller the sidewall [how high de rubber part of the tyre is] - de more comfortable it is , it'll absorb more bumps..
Downside is itll also be bad for handling..
So handling n comfort seldom go together when we are talking tyres..

Haha,

I oso dunno bro.. personally if l were on a budget, enkei taiwan sounds gud provided its lite.. as unsprung weight is an unsung hero's tale..
BTW.. reputable tyre/rim shops shld be able to tell u if they are selling fake/replicas , licensed rims or original stuf - at least they should - wat is worse is selling us fakes but charging us for de ori price..

Can also consider Konig. They are around or cheaper than Advanti, but quality should be at least equivalent. Some of their higher end wheels uses Enkei's technology.

hi, my corolla altis gen9 was having hard and noisy suspension feel. already changed a few absorber, absorber mounting, lower arm, steering rack, tie rod etc...
i suspect it could be the 205/50/R16 tyre (ori 16" facelift rim). Supposed the ori tyre size is 195/55/r16, i'm not sure by downgrading to 195/55/r16 will "dramatically" ended my nightmare of hard suspension issue...
i was thinking was it possible to use back same rim but 195/60/r16 tyre. or have to downgrade to 15" rim to get 195/60/r15 tyre? Any advise? Thanks.

go for advanti storm series..light weight at reasonable price. go for 15..lots of tyre available below RM200..can browse keanlee hin at fb or nestum at lowyat.net. else you can check on fb tee3 tyre. there a lot of picture you can refer.

i'm using falken 912... the noise is the suspension component knocking, "kok kok kok"... some mechanic told me altis is memang like that and blaming low profile tyre. imo, 195/55/r16 and 205/50/r16 tyre sidewall thickness doesn't looks much different...

yeah, went to numerous shops, none have the definitive answer. most of them said altis suspension is weak and memang like that, some said tyre 50 profile not suitable for malaysia's road.
my intention change "thicker" sidewall tyre, but original 195/55/r16 i think not much diff with current 205/50/r16. so that's why thinking use 195/60/r16 if can fits, or downgrade rim to 15" to utilize the 195/60/r15 thicker profile tyre...

or change to 195/60/16 bridgestone which is now available in market already, last time this size was rare.
