Sumtimes its not really 'fake' per se..
Lets talk Enkei for instance.. Enkei has factories all over the world .. but only those made in Japan carry the 'weight' of the brand tat we know.. meaning those tat are made in Taiwan n even Malaysia are 'fakes'..
BTW, there are outrite fakes from china too tat literally use de design n everyting but not d material/durability..
Of course other brands will have their own story to tell too..

Rule of thumb of tyres..
the taller the sidewall [how high de rubber part of the tyre is] - de more comfortable it is , it'll absorb more bumps..
Downside is itll also be bad for handling..
So handling n comfort seldom go together when we are talking tyres..

BTW.. reputable tyre/rim shops shld be able to tell u if they are selling fake/replicas , licensed rims or original stuf - at least they should - wat is worse is selling us fakes but charging us for de ori price..

Like l said - its not a 'fake' per se.. but most think, Enkei is Made in Japan so if there is any other makes - then its 'fake'..
But seller should inform on this to make matters clear.. AFAIK.. only Made in Japan carrys a premium .. all the others sell cheaper..

now that you mention it.. Enkei also got malaysian factory.. l tink they sell OE rims for base models here.. I dont really tink this is fake.. Ya..

Depends on what size tyre you wanna fit.. if just 195, 6.5 is more suitable..

I tot in Klang Valley.. Klang is famous for uhm affordable rims..

Visibly.. I guess there isnt much difference..
Horror stories are tat non-ori rims are inferior in strength and durability but my experience is it isnt so bad..

Jap ori rims are light and seemingly strong/durable - I m using 2 sets now on a jazz n civic..

I guess.. if u r on a budget n die die need the styling of aftermarket rims then Taiwan rims are fine..
but if you need the assurance then save a bit more..
