Hello guys,  newbie here and I have a question regarding rims. I am currently driving a icon 1.3 myvi with a 14" rim

So I went to this tyres shops today near serdang.
The sales guy told me I have to trade in my Silverstone  tyres together with perodua rims with additional Rm1000 for 4x vossen 15" rims and 4x 15" tyres.

Worth it?
Thanks guys

normal driving okay la..but seeking for quality wheels and light weight lie advanti, market price is around 1.4k without trade in.

Myvi needs a 15" or 16" rim???

I prefer to go with 16" but all friends suggest to go with only 15".

so what you guys suggest.

Mine is Myvi 1500cc
*
15 just nice for myvii..i feel 16inch a bit heavy..
unless u get the light weight rims weight 5.5kg++ should be good.

Hello guys, can you suggest me which sport rim suitable for viva elite? Sport rim with tyre specs, coz this is first time to change sport rims. Afraid of getting chop by workshop. Hehehe please advice thanks!
*
first of all,do u want 14inch or 15inch?
14 inch common size 165/55/14
15 inch common size 165/50/15
depends on u wan aftermarket or ori.
affordable and original can look for advanti/konig.
if u have big budget ori enkeis are good.

Just now already survey for dunlop tyre, workshop said dunlop got negative feedback from many customer. They suggest to use goodyear tyre 14" for RM155 include balancing. Already survey 5 shop setiawangsa area all is same price for goodyear. Is it reasonable the price?

*For sport rim 15" RM1350 complete with goodyear tyre. Whoaaa! Like very expensive!
*
if include gst is more or less around the price for 14 inch goodyear.the price wouldnt difference that much.
for 15 inch tyre and rim, price not including trade in should be somewhere rm 1200-1250.you should ask what is include or not.like the gst and those nut and or valve.

Wat is the best 15 inch size rim for Myvi? 6.5jj/7jj? How about et?
*
most prefer 7jj.looks better..normally et35-42 is nice and most sport rims are produced with that offset.

Hi sifu's, i'm new to this and i am thinking of changing my hr-v stock 16" to 18", is there a need for me to change the stock absorbers? if yes, do the tyre shops carry them in hand or i need to buy them separately? thks!
*

Thanks for the reply. However will the stock absorbers wear out faster given the heaviness, width of the new rims/tyres? Is there any pointers when I visit the local tyre shop so that I don't get throat slashed.
*
so far no issue..most change sport rim without changing suspension.tyre use 225/50/18.some of the members using 235/50/18.
what rim are u going to change?width and offset have to be suitable as well.

I noticed that the rims stated offset of 45 but you earlier recommended me to use 50. Will 45 be okay?
*
rim offset is 45

Hi all sifus, does anyone knows of a tyre shop that accepts 99% new ori rims and tyres? I will also need to get new tyres for my new rims from that shop.

P/S: Planning to get Michelin XM2 185/55R16
*
i thought most shop accept trade in..simply walk in to tyre shop that sell sport rims then they take trade in.shop that only sell tyres i dont think they will trade in.

I am driving latest Honda City.

Original rim besi spec is 15" 5.5 JJ ET 45 with tyre size 175/65/R15

I planning to change them to second-hand Alza rim. The Alza rim spec is 15" 6 JJ ET 45.

I also planning to use Michelin XM2 195/65/R15 tyre.

My question is will it rub against the fender and suspension?

Thanks in advance.
*
rim spec is okay..tyre spec is bigger a bit..185/65/15 stil ok..
