dear all hedgie = pokemon = sonic lovers... huhuhuh..
i just got my hedgie from the breeder on Monday, so its actually been with me for about 5 days.. mind if i join the club? huhuhu.. and I still haven't name for it, it's male, so do u guys have any suggestion?.. huhuhuh...

Yes, I have a hide box for him. He also sleeps in there one. Again, last nite he sleep in his litter box but this morning he was in his hide box already.

Welcome to the world of hedgies. I just got mine recently as well. Almost 1 week already.

Because chocolates is toxic to animals, for example dogs, and your hedgehog. It will harm their liver if I'm not mistaken.

The reason why not is because the vets told us not to, just like a doctor concerned about his patients will tell him not to drink alcoholic drinks on regular basis because it will cause liver damage. But to some alcoholics, they will argue that they still live healthy live up to age of 80.

So is up to you if you want to try giving it chocolates.

empty_reg: lol.. no... but i just sms him.. n he told me he'll post up more pics on sunday. but i prefer getting hoglet than a mama hedgie which the owner doesnt even knw how old.

Gona stay kepala batas there for a while to do some important things after my brother's wedding..

hey..just bought a hedgehog yesterday..
question tho..
is 4mnths consider baby?
cuz mine sleeps alot..and rarely play..
never see her playing with her wheel..
and she doesnt eat much..and also..nose abit running..
any symptom of bad news??or issit she is still adapting to new home??
huhuhu..
she just sleep in her hidebox all day long..

sleep alot is normal..mainly bcoz the change in environment..
give some time for her to adapt to her new home la... smile.gif

Added on November 3, 2008, 1:26 amEcht is killing me... he never stops eating... recently i changed the bedding to BC... n he's eating the pellet altho i fed him 2 spoon of staple food, sprinkled with blueberries, n extra cucumber or mealworm treat when he's a good boy.

Seems like u din research well before buying..

Sleeps a lot, rare play? Izit u switch on the lights? Mine dont like lights.. When dark as black only will come out..

Mine eat a few bits, for like 5 times a day only = a bit too la.. hehe smile.gif

not really.

in the video shown the hedgehog is struggling to stay afloat and it doesn't look to be enjoying paddling in the water and flipping over. it could even drown if not looked after.
