Since you already have the card, why not just buy the aftermarket cooling online ? It wont die that soon so dont worry.

so yes , gaimward seem not bad , not to mention it have higher stock core, lol
normal HD4850 / HD4870 seem to have temp problem , it is fine if u think ur gc going hot is not a problem , lol

4850GS user here. At 60% fan speed (which is pretty much more silent than my case fans anyways) have about 40C idling without aircond. With aircond it will go to about 37C or so.

Load is about 55C on Crysis, and 61C or so on a renamed furmark.exe stresstest.

You can use AMD GPU Clock Tool(to clock the card) and atitool(stress testing) together.

sorry, that one not really oc =.= i mean using the CCC auto tune function, the highest freq ... just for few minutes
but the temp would jump to 85 ...

but so far i think no need oc, coz all the game i using already max setting still smooth .. haha

Did you do the fan speed adjustment ? That would make the idle and load temp lower.

yeap..its normal ( on stock fan speed)
u can manually set fan speed in CCC..but for me 55% is max ( or higher if u can handle that noisy fan ) tongue.gif
