I will be removing that metal bars cause he chews em alot. Any idea what to replace for better ventilation? He has an ugly spot on his nose with all that chewing he's done.

Hamsters are NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT humans! How on earth can you compare humans with hamsters? Hasn't it been said SO many times that hamsters do not have the same feelings as humans?

So u say that someone raise golden hammy keep 5 in one tank blablablabla, thats going againts the damn fact that hamsters are solitary. Whats the use of researches trying to find out the temperaments and behaviors of hamsters then? They just had their effort thrown away by some misleading information?
Then why not we feed our hamsters chocolate and other HUMAN stuff since they are like "people"?

The whole purpose of teaching other people about the proper way of keeping hamsters is just because we wanna give our best to them and not see them end up being hurt and injured, sick and all. And you're teaching the others bullshit.

If you cant afford to teach others about hamsters,then just keep all the knowledge you have to yourself.

If hamsters like human, sure i will talk with it normally and play PS with it.

good day everyone, i keep my robo in habitrail mini but after a few wash on the wheel, the wheel seems not as tight as before or the rubber on top us loosen. It cause the wheel to sway when my hamster running on it. Sometime i see him run so fast than he flipped himself which i feel worry about. Also, this wheel has a empty space in btwn the covers (not sure how to put it but i also worry that he could hurt his feet). Not sure if anyone using Habitral Mini too and does the wheel has any problem like this? Should i be getting new ones? if so, probably those with 8" diameter would do?

Thanks for your good intention trying to make peace but really don't understand what you mean by all the 1-4 statements. Nothing to do with husband and wife here. Only hamsters and their owners. Only owner can be categorize in good and responsible or stubborn and irresponsible. A lot of silly and innocent people out there without knowledge but as long as the person willing to learn to be better, the person is responsible, the other way round is just irresponsible. You're having robos... You don't need such a big wheel. But if you can afford it, why not. I had to get a bigger wheel for my robos then cuz they don't like taking turns and all wanna run on it at the same time. This means one poor fella will be pushed out. So I got a bigger wheel and they all can run together.

Jus get a wheel with no gap for their feet to fall out of. Their tiny feet can slip out of the smallest hole~

Don't think a 8" wheel can fit into your Habitrail Mini. So far I didn't remember any 8" wheel can be attached to the Habitrail Mini. You can try to get the Habitrail Safari wheel if you wan. Last time my robos use Habitrail Safari wheel, both of them can run at the same time. But depends on your luck to get that as it already no more in production. Another problem is dunno whether can fix in Habitral Mini or not.

Wodent wheel? Sanko wheel also can what. But if he gonna to use both that wheel, means he gonna change the cage to tank already as Habitrail Mini can't fit both of it.

Yes, if they can reach. Metal will get rust and plastic one will get big holes.

Basically, statement 1 and 3 just means that whatever happens, we are not directly connected to the incident and all we can do is advice them. If the person given advice to don wanna listen then there's nothing you can do about it.

Statement 1 and 4 means that you are free to do anything you want and keep many syrians together. But it's the wrong thing to do so don't be proud of it. Don't tell other people you are doing it. Keep it to yourself. And don't tell people wrong things.


Which I quite agree with, the statements. You are free to do what you want but since you know it's wrong to keep syrians together you should not sokong the person no matter what the reason. Remember that there are many first timers who don know anyting and will listen to the advice of someone seemingly more expert. It's the sin of the breeder to give wrong information to sell more syrians but it is also the sin of the person supporting the statement because that just strengthens the wrong statement of the breeder.

Try replace with acrylic?
Cut a piece of acrylic around the size of window and use aqua sealant to seal it
(Nt sure whether aqua sealant aka silicone is toxic for hammy o nt, bt its nt for fish and tarantula)

How much does acrylic cost? If expensive i think i'd rather buy a new cage. XD

use cage better. acrylic will get scratches easily
