blush.gif A little hard cuz she doesn't dunk her food in there all the time.

Speaking of dunking, I found bits of dry food in Ferro's leftover smoothie this morning. I think I was giving too much attention to Roche yesterday cuz she dunked the supplement ball into her smoothie. I was laughing and stroking her. Ferro jealous ar? He also go dunk. biggrin.gif

I think the idea is wonderful! I had a sick pet who couldn't eat anyting but crush vegetable juice. It didn't manage to recover though... The injury was too serious. It took me hours to crush vege and forcefeed the fella.

smile.gif And formula for pregnant mama hammie is an awesome idea. Most people just don't know and don't have the time to make special arrangements for their pregnant hammies. This will make things easier and provide everything the mama hamster needs at the same time.

sweat.gif I thought Brownie Puff is sick. Luckily she is well.

hey guys, i managed to get a packet of mealworms, and tried to feed one to them each, well, they seems to like it very much.

but still, the mealworms disgust me blink.gif

i tried to touch them... bit by bit, actually the great mealworms(superworms) are same species as the mealworms is it? they disgust me the most!!

by the way, is it i gotta gutload the worms for at least two days before I feed to hammies? what should i feed them?? vegies? and how to determine whether they are healthy or edible? i have 3 robos here, how much should i feed them daily?

rodents like to hide in dark area, try to find them under cupboard or somewhere less light. and also somewhere with small wholes that they could reach. i hope they're not robos... syrians are the most lazy.. they rather take rest after a few minutes walking

ohh... well, don't give up yet. try your best to find them, any possible place you think they might get to, but i guess they'll find somewhere dark or wherever they can reach. don't won't go out of the door as they don't really like sunlight. try to find where is shade and dry. if your robos are tamed they should come to you when you call right?? correct me if i'm wrong, this happened to my syrians last time when he got lost.. wish you luck!!

hmmm, my experience with a runaway robo is not like ur syrian le.. i run to the left, the robo run to the right.. very very difficult to catch back even after spotted the robo..

so tina_yess, i suggest u get some ppl to find with u.. cos robo is very small, very hard to notice.. close all holes like ur toilet floor hole, in case it drop inside.. close all doors while searching, so that it doesnt escape to another room & make ur search even more difficult..

Tina relax. He did not run away. It is in their instincts to escape and explore. I used to keep my robos in a tank in my living room too. Yuu manage to run out also. Very weird. Ends up that he climb on the wheel, balance on the turning wheel, and grab the side of tha tank.. Then escaped.

I couldn't find him on the day he ran off, so I thought gone case cuz my living room has 2 big doors open. But 3 days later, I found him wandering around under the table where I put the tank. I think he got hungry. There were 2 very large open doors and he didn't run out. For 3 days.

So what you should do now, is put a small box with shavings and food at those dark narrow corners. Check every once in a while if your robo went in. They won't travel too far without food I think. My robos were smart enough to run only in my living room when they escaped. They know they have a steady supply of food in their tank.

Hie ~ I just got myself 2 new winter whites today (2 brothers, should be ok right? and they are quite young >.<)

If you guys could share with me some things i would be very grateful.

1. I'm using the uhm, tube to drink water for them (stuck on one side of the cage) but they don't seem to be drinking from there. Anyway to teach them? >.< (I used a plate of water before and they tried to learn how to swim =.=)

2. Is it ok if i keep them with me in my aircon room (not 24 hours on la >.<, when i go to class i move them to my hall also)

3. Anyway to teach them to use bathing sand, i got this little poceline thing but they use it to sleep =.=

I will really appreciate your feedback. I've had dogs for over a decade, but this is the first time i've had hamsters. Kinda nervous >.<

PS: They are sooooo adorable >.<

i see. i never experience robo in lost, yet.. so it differs from syrian, they're lazy i should say? last time when i reared syrian in living room also, he fell from a 2 feet table and got lost, finally found under the tank's table too. may be should try to lure the lost hammie with food is a very good idea too, good luck to you tina. your hammie sure knows you love it so much and will come back to you. smile.gif

blink.gif Tube? You mean water bottle with metal spout is it? They'll drink when they want to. They can smell water. They'll know where it is. Plus the place you bought them from must use water bottles too ma. Don't put plate o. All the shavings and dirt will get in it.

Try not to keep so cold lo. How cold is cold? I'm not sure about WW but robos adapt well to rooms moderately cold with air cond. But I advise you not to put them directly under the air cond flow.

I think no need to teach them.. Just put the bathing sand inside. All my hammies are curious by nature and will jump inside by themselves. I just use a normal animal bowl and put the sand in. All my hammies will hop inside and investigate. Some will began rolling almost immediately.

Plus they like enclose places... Mine sleeps in his toilet sand bowl sometimes also. Just make sure it's clean lo.

Eh... I think this applies for all animals lar. Keep your hammie and you enclosure clean. For dwarves, give sand bath and toilet bath. For syrian, give toilet bath. Clean the toilet often. Wash all the accessories thoroughly. Then no problem lor. Don't expose your pets to other animals that are infested with mites lar. Very important.

I see, my house only got 1 pet, my hamster only.
I bought her Bathing sand as toilet sand wor, i saw her pee there but didn't poo there...
And i didn't have air cond in my living room so it is hotter compare to air cond room, but it is shady in the afternoon.

I forgot where i saw this but there is someone or a article saying freezing the bedding before using it would kill all the eggs of the mite inside it ? Is this true ?
