Just got a container of Uncle Taro's Nutri Smoothie(Sunset Breeze) from Pet Shack and thankfully, both my hamsters(a WW and a Syrian) love it.

One question though, is it advisable to feed the recommended amount(1 tablespoon for Syrians) in one feeding or separate it into 2 feedings since my Syrian is unable to finish 1 tablespoon in one shot and I was wondering that it might go bad in a few hours time?

What I'm actually asking is whether is it harmful to feed 1 tablespoon in 1 shot since my hamster is unable to finish, so my question is, would the remainder go bad in the cage?

One more thing, is it okay to feed the Smoothie before letting it de-frost?

Thanks Jayniel. Any idea how long can the smoothie last uneaten in the cage? I've read that you can leave it overnight and that's like about 12 hours? I've also read some people saying that it can only last for a few hours in room temperature so I'm kinda confused? 12 hours or few hours? Where's nezuuu, I need answers! 

Good news ! I was able to touch Jilly just now, following Nezu's guide by disassembling everything in the cage which left an open area for my finger to approach her.

She tried to run away at first but then i gave her a slice of apple, then i slowly stroke her back. After eating she went to sleep, curled up near the wall while im stroking her, then she was asleep already O_O

I will repeat this tomorrow's night, hopefully she will get to know me

Hun, don't la so tension. 

I think the idea is wonderful! I had a sick pet who couldn't eat anyting but crush vegetable juice. It didn't manage to recover though... The injury was too serious. It took me hours to crush vege and forcefeed the fella.

And formula for pregnant mama hammie is an awesome idea. Most people just don't know and don't have the time to make special arrangements for their pregnant hammies. This will make things easier and provide everything the mama hamster needs at the same time.

I thought Brownie Puff is sick. Luckily she is well.

Hi everyone.

I have a female hamster (think it's dwarf) which I've adopted from my friend last September.
I think she is now 9 months old as she was still a tiny little baby when my friend bought her.
Recently she has been losing a lot of fur. Area on her tummy and chest are getting balder.
I had did one very wrong mistake which is buying her the Chipsi Citrus (found not suitable as it was pine bedding some minutes ago). Could that be one of the reason why she is losing fur? Those are the possibility that I'm thinking of why she is losing fur :

1) WRong bedding
2) Rise in temperature
3) Diet ( I've been feeding her on grains, orange, carrot, french bean & occasionally some crackers as snack.Also
             strawberry like once in a month)

If diet is the problem, can dog/cat food help to solve the protein problem? (i read it from http://www.hamsterific.com that hasmter could consume cat and dog food & protein could be one of the factor for hairloss).
How to identify if the diet is not complete or suitable?My hamster seems to eat everything I gave.
She is also active during late evening/night as describe for a normal hamster (biting cage and running on wheels)

I wish she will recover soon....
Pls drop some comments or ideas on how to cure my little baby girl.
I'm really worry about her condition

i guess pantang time means da time for her to rest.. dun wori, of coz nezu let her had enough rest and food before she mate her again...

Is the multivitamin liquid available in pets wonderland and pet shack?

May be westerns feed hammies with greater portion of meat in their daily diet, while we feed hammies with 'healthy' food - fruits and vegies, all the time. so that's why they're smaller in our country. that's IMO though 

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA............     Just can't stop laughing when I try to imagine the process. He need to learn from our JackJack la, he is so expert, but he can't do anything with his expertise. LOL...
He mean confinement la. This is not a human la. Their life span is short and confinement period also will be short.
