QUOTE(liette` @ Jun 27 2008, 06:22 PM) Just got a container of Uncle Taro's Nutri Smoothie(Sunset Breeze) from Pet Shack and thankfully, both my hamsters(a WW and a Syrian) love it. yes u can feed seperatly. if later on ur syrian able to finished. then u can add more for them One question though, is it advisable to feed the recommended amount(1 tablespoon for Syrians) in one feeding or separate it into 2 feedings since my Syrian is unable to finish 1 tablespoon in one shot and I was wondering that it might go bad in a few hours time? thanks for supporting. |

QUOTE(liette` @ Jun 27 2008, 06:46 PM) What I'm actually asking is whether is it harmful to feed 1 tablespoon in 1 shot since my hamster is unable to finish, so my question is, would the remainder go bad in the cage? One more thing, is it okay to feed the Smoothie before letting it de-frost? QUOTE(liette` @ Jun 27 2008, 09:36 PM) Thanks Jayniel. Any idea how long can the smoothie last uneaten in the cage? I've read that you can leave it overnight and that's like about 12 hours? I've also read some people saying that it can only last for a few hours in room temperature so I'm kinda confused? 12 hours or few hours? Where's nezuuu, I need answers! hmm i think u get abit confuse here.. a. u can put the right potion for ur hamster in the bowl to feed her for 12 hours. after that u will need to clean it up. b. regarding not good to put out for a few hours, i guess its about the whole container. it is not advise to put the whole container out till it melt or half melt, EVERYDAY. it will lost its nutrition if we do it for a month, daily. of cos if u want to be real good, u can just put the right potion for ur hammi, which she will finished in 1 - 2 hours. then u top up again when she finished. n repeat like this whole day long but like working ppl like me. i only can feed them b4 i go to work, and after i back from work. so the smoothie will be there about 12 hours. that is also good enough QUOTE(UNDERGROUND @ Jun 27 2008, 09:55 PM) Good news ! I was able to touch Jilly just now, following Nezu's guide by disassembling everything in the cage which left an open area for my finger to approach her. very hapy to hear that wor.. ADD OIL!!She tried to run away at first but then i gave her a slice of apple, then i slowly stroke her back. After eating she went to sleep, curled up near the wall while im stroking her, then she was asleep already O_O I will repeat this tomorrow's night, hopefully she will get to know me This post has been edited by nezumitaro: Jun 27 2008, 11:17 PM |

no i just for a hammi mama formular. which able to make like Nutri-Smoothie. which will promote their healthy n milk flow:) but before i make my move, i need to know how n what everyone here will feed. so i can work it to the style that easier for everyone. the other thing is.. i get bring back a weak gerbil. tot he canot make it, but pumping him with the nutrition formular.. he get well n gain weight. this make me think of.... will others ppl have problem when they need to syringe feed their sick animals? also thinking to pack the forumlar, so anyone when needed they can get home just mix with abit water, then can syringe feed. ah alot of things i wanna do.... |

The injury was too serious. It took me hours to crush vege and forcefeed the fella. hehhe no lah.. brownie is good just thinking to make something that can make easier for hammi owner. n benefit the hammi. |

QUOTE(Cyndilai @ Jun 30 2008, 04:54 PM) Hi everyone. pine will effect her health, don't think will cos skin problem.I have a female hamster (think it's dwarf) which I've adopted from my friend last September. I think she is now 9 months old as she was still a tiny little baby when my friend bought her. Recently she has been losing a lot of fur. Area on her tummy and chest are getting balder. I had did one very wrong mistake which is buying her the Chipsi Citrus (found not suitable as it was pine bedding some minutes ago). Could that be one of the reason why she is losing fur? Those are the possibility that I'm thinking of why she is losing fur : 1) WRong bedding 2) Rise in temperature 3) Diet ( I've been feeding her on grains, orange, carrot, french bean & occasionally some crackers as snack. Also strawberry like once in a month) If diet is the problem, can dog/cat food help to solve the protein problem? (i read it from http://www.hamsterific.com that hasmter could consume cat and dog food & protein could be one of the factor for hairloss). How to identify if the diet is not complete or suitable? My hamster seems to eat everything I gave. She is also active during late evening/night as describe for a normal hamster (biting cage and running on wheels) I wish she will recover soon.... Pls drop some comments or ideas on how to cure my little baby girl. I'm really worry about her condition Thanks, Cyndi ORange is a BIG NONO, Crackers? human one? salty? if salty can be this cos the problem, so STOP IT. go get a right food for her, prestige wil be best in town so far., her diet must change. cat n dog kibble is only can be a part of their diet, hamster mix + kibbles. if that is the only things u feed her, she mostly is lack of nutrition, that also will cost hair lost. go get a pack of prestige hamster, a bottle of multi-vit liquid, and a small pack of kibbles. Added on June 30, 2008, 5:06 pm QUOTE(IcedNyior @ Jun 30 2008, 05:01 PM) yes they do, due 15th if she is pregnant. This post has been edited by nezumitaro: Jun 30 2008, 05:06 PM |

QUOTE(Cyndilai @ Jun 30 2008, 05:43 PM) Thank you very much Nezumitaro. if u go pet shack, below are something u can get, see ur budget lah ok.Will try to get her some of those stuff that u mention Is the multivitamin liquid available in pets wonderland and pet shack? 1) multi-vit liquid 2) prestige ( $21.+) 3) Nutri-Smoothie(small $3.50, big $10 get small to try, incese she don't eat) 4) organic Vege Powder ($18) 5) bedding QUOTE(kmao @ Jun 30 2008, 05:55 PM) May be westerns feed hammies with greater portion of meat in their daily diet, while we feed hammies with 'healthy' food - fruits and vegies, all the time. so that's why they're smaller in our country. that's IMO though if u want a hammi to grow big, its not the meat. its a balanced fresh diet QUOTE(sangels @ Jun 30 2008, 06:32 PM) HAHAHAHAHAHAHA............ lol hamsump Jack Jack LOL..He mean confinement la. This is not a human la. Their life span is short and confinement period also will be short. Syringe feed time... |
