QUOTE(don^don @ Jul 30 2008, 06:35 PM) do u mean to say, that Dell do not personally design and manufacture their own LCD monitor in their own factory, or; Dell is not an LCD monitor specialist to begin with, and that we should avoid buying Dell's LCD monitor? As what I knew, CPT (central picture tube) in Shah Alam malaysia is the vendor of DELL CRT monitor since last time untill now, LCD's vendor is some one in oversea. So DELL is confirmly not the one who manufacturer the monitor, but I'm not sure is they design the diagram of monitor or not. I believe the one who really manufacturer of monitor having the most highest & proffensional team of engineer who can really do a best research in latest technology.

Dell DO NOT have a lcd manufacturing plant, they outsource it to an OEM manufacturer, same goes to HP and a few others.

then comparing price with specs, the Dell UltraSharp™ 2208WFP would seemed to lose out alot against Samsung 2253BW and LG W2252TQ, therefore the Dell UltraSharp™ 2208WFP wouldn't be a good choice for a price of RM1039, would it guys? Coz i gotta make the decision fast as I'm buying 1 in the upcoming fair.

Dell Ships A01 Revisions of the 2408WFP QUOTE It's been a long time coming, but Dell have finally started shipping the new revision of their 24" 2408WFP screen. It won't actually be tagged as A01 by the sounds of things, but there will be a new firmware introduced. Jimmy P of the Dell Community Forums has said: "I have news, as of yesterday [22 July 2008] all 2408's shipping as refurbished have the new firmware, as of Monday new monitors started coming off the production line with it. If you are ordering a new monitor you should wait about two weeks to make sure that they have a chance to get through the distribution network.
Due to a Dell internal process change many of the 2408's that will ship new with the revised firmware will have a different part number and not a different revision number. The only way you will be able to tell if it's the revised firmware is to check the sharpness setting, if the setting is in multiples of 10 then it is the revised firmware if it's in multiples of 25 then it's not. The part number has nothing to do with the revision but someone decided since we are changing the part number anyway the firmware will be A00 on that part number."
He went on later to explain that: "You can not upgrade the frimware yourself. We do not send out replacements just because of a revision, you have to actually have a technical problem. This firmware update features greater control over sharpness settings, improved power save recovery, and less input lag."

does the benq v2400w have 1:1 scaling? i want to replace my benq f94vw which has the best picture quality i've seen so far for a 19 incher. does the v2400w has the same picture quality? and is rm1499 the lowest? i would have gone for the dell ultrasharp 24" but at rm2k, it's a but expensive. can anyone tell me if the v2400w best for ps3 and xbox 360 after dell ultrasharp 24"?
