I kinda disappointed with my C702. the picture quality is below average. it's not like K800i or even K770i. it captures false colors. i tried to update the firmware but it seems to be the same.

Guys...after reading so many reviews by users here... is the phone worth investing in? Even some of my friends who have the phone seem to be complaining bout the firmware coz the frequent restarts and the expensive gprs usage. Can anybody give me some views on this? Does the latest firmware solve the restart problem?

juz bought a c702 2 days ago.. dont the phone hv face detaction's function? i discover whole day oso cant get my cam to hv tat function even i had set the funtion d(hv displayed function but don hv real effect). is't coz of my is AP??

i've got my energy black c702 last week.
what can i see, this is great phone as stated TS before,

but one problem is: why menu & media is quite lagging. more worse if I playing MP3. is this normal?

the earphone bundled also not so 'powerful' enough to compete w series (hehe..i need to buy another w' series earphone leh..)

i'm planning to update the firmware but unsure the result come with..

the old 200Mhz arm CPU not fast enough for the new A2 platform...thus its a bit lag. lets hope SE will put in faster cpu on 2009 phones

so far i satisfied my phone. no false alarm, no restart
but quite lag while listening music + browse in media center.

thought to upgrade my earphone..not so good as walkman earpiece

the volume at the side quite hard to press. maybe it something about water-resistant

Just to inform u guys, I've updated my phoneware through SEUS. Latest version rite now is R3DA029.
Testing it right now and found that the phone works much faster compared to my last phoneware.
Overall quite happy with the phone. Im also in the process of installing TREKBUDDY. Will update if it is working fine.

Face detection works fine on my phone. I dont know about you guys.
The sms is still laggy. Like someone said I think the processor just couldnt match the A200 platform requirements. But overall the new FW has really sped things up abit.
I have never encountered a restart before. The only thing Im complaining about the C702 is the battery life which is short. My W880i can outlast the c702 in terms of battery life anytime even though SE website states the battery life for the C702 is longer. Because I handle a lot of call, the c702 can only last me 1-2 days compared to 3-4 days with the W880i.

yup..quite battery hunger..mine only last for 1 day, i listened music most of the time (loudspeaker)+ making a call.
dunno izzit normal?

btw, my c702 restarted last time. only 1 time until now. seems because its running very heavy inbackground. maybe update the FW fix this.

why is it that when there's an incoming message... i have to go to Menu > Messaging > Inbox > then only can read the sms...

is it a way, that when there's an incoming sms, it'll pop up on the standy mode?? means, one click can read the sms...


and one more thing.. beside the Signal Bar strength there, it either change from "3G" or "H".... what thats mean?? ._.

You have to go to general--->events--->---->Pop Up menu to enable the pop up menu.

3G means you are running on 3G network. If there is no 3G coverage then the phone switches to normal network.

C702 users. I would like to enquire more detail about the picture quality.

So far did the latest firmware of Sony Ericsson able to solve the low picture quality problem of the camera?

Somehow I have been to some other forum like Chinese.Cari to enquire about C702. This phone doesn't seemed to be a popular phone in Malaysia and Singapore. Why do u think it led to this phenomena?
