QUOTE(Victek @ Jul 7 2009, 11:43 PM) Hi prasys, no doubt, OpenWRT is the right answer... but .. wait a while .. you will see some interesting news in next RAF release ... IcEMoCHa, hehe, you got it .. yes, passive mode and new wireless Auto channel set the best channel for your wireless environment.. this is the reason why Tomato is more convenient for non skill people playing wireless channel and interferences ... the target is to have a firmware for dummies. Don't misunderstand my words, I mean.. easy to set, ready to go. thumbs up for tomato and victek... light and easy to understand .. not as bloated as others.. keep up the good work...

sry for the noob question here, how come the latest 1.25.8515 ND is in trx file type?
is been a while i didn't upgrade tomato ver. since the 1.23.8025 i'm currently using now.
if i'm not mistaken, all the previous normal version by victek is in bin file type right?
i thought the trx file is only can use by Buffalo & Asus router.
can the wrt54gl flash with trx?

Just upload it and it would work okay. Make sure to save all your previous settings and start fresh (just to be extra safe) I am on 1.25 , and I've to tell you that I am impressed

Tomato 1.25.8025 (normal wifi driver version) is ready to download. When you must use this version? Do the following: Open a DOS sesion and Telnet the router IP (telnet 192.168.1.1.. i.e) CODE Victek@sparrow:~# telnet 192.168.1.1 Trying 192.168.1.1... Connected to 192.168.1.1 Escape character is '^]'. Victek login: root Password:
Tomato v1.25.8025
BusyBox v1.14.2 (2009-07-12 03:37:02 CEST) built-in shell (ash) Enter 'help' for a list of built-in commands.
# nvram show | grep wl0_corerev wl0_corerev=9
If corerev digit is =>7 or 9 then use ND version (1.25.8515 ND) If corerev digit is <7 use normal version (1.25.8025) Thanks This post has been edited by Victek: Jul 12 2009, 05:48 PM

the ND ver. is really awesome! now the wireless signal is even stronger than b4. didn't upgrade the firmware since last year, now i realize how tricky to reset back all the config & setting to work. i thought the Access Restriction didn't work on 1.25 or something i've mistaken setup & tend to revert back to 1.23.8025, luckly i noticed the time zone didn't set properly now the 1.25.8515.ND will serve me for another few months? until any greater upcomin release ver. from victek. - U're ROCK!

Rearragement packets for output. Generally its all FIFO (First in first out) , now you have the option to choose , I prefer to use sfq (its very cpu-friendly)
