The WRT54GL does not have an ADSL modem built in. How did you manage to plug in a phone line?
*
Whoops, I meant to say that I plugged the cable from an ADSL modem into the WRT54GL. My bad there! Still trying to figure out if my settings are borked royally.

According to his posts on... I think the site was Linksys Info which is in Spanish, he is just making sure the firmware is up to par (Stable) as there was already a major error in the official 1.24 version of Tomato.

victek's firmware can set amount of bandwidth for each client while ori tomato cannot. that's the main difference.

barry80, go for this test version, after 1390 downloads no issues has been reported. Almost of complaints was due to inexperience from user. I'll fix as stable version today.

I am wondering in OpenWRT , its possible for people to have more then 1 AP (i.e 1 AP for Guest and 1 AP for normal users). I just want to ask if its possible for you to do that !

P.S - Victek , Tu eliges

I've just upgraded it. It works very well and I'll post a picture of my heatsink most. Applied a bit more of thermal paste and pasted a heatsink so that the router would run even cooler under heavy load !

Hi prasys, no doubt, OpenWRT is the right answer... but .. wait a while .. you will see some interesting news in next RAF release ... rclxm9.gif

IcEMoCHa, hehe, you got it .. yes, passive mode and new wireless Auto channel set the best channel for your wireless environment.. this is the reason why Tomato is more convenient for non skill people playing wireless channel and interferences ... the target is to have a firmware for dummies. Don't misunderstand my words, I mean.. easy to set, ready to go. icon_idea.gif
