I just flashed 1.23ND version tomato from polarcloud ... works super great ... strong wifi signal .... the radio wave penertrated all the way third floor to ground floor .. i still get 4 bars of signal strength ... amazing ....its like my router was given a good dose of vigra ... very strong ... i recommend it .... but as for skin .... the interface presented looks ugly and discolored .. but i don't mind at all ... its goood ...

no one can help guide me here?

why is it that when uploading at full speed or utilizing the bandwidth to the max speed the connection crashes (router is still running, still can browse website all)

but the pc i am uploading to cant be accessed, i tried it on few pc its the same thing happening

i tried with original 1.22 and 1.22 speedmod, the speedmod lasted half an hour longer before same thing happen
not enough ram?

xunlei easy la not that hard for all p2p just block the bittorent protocol there inside qos and set the class to low
u can also add custom ports google for xunlei autentication ports and block generally all port above 4k to 65535

thats what i did

wenhui100,

Always you have to execute "erase nvram" in Administration/configuration/restore defaults option ... then you will run w/o weird problems

I have been reading many comments about strange behavior in QoS, Basic Wan PPPoE defaults, .... please, do a erase nvram reset after you update your firmware, it will avoid almost of the complaints I'm reading in these posts.

Thanks

hi guys,

i'm new user to tomato, using tomato stock + vpn(i need openvpn), previously using dd-wrt. so far it is good except

1) i wonder if there's a feature to monitor bandwidth usage individually for each connected device (like dd-wrt), as i cant seem to find it? this feature so that i can find out who hogging the bandwidth at any time.

2) with QoS configured, running xunlei still causes other pcs cannot surf the net...anyone manage to QoS xunlei effectively? will using victek mod solve this?

my QoS setting as follows: (192.168.1.22 is my dedicated box for xunlei)

TCP/UDP
Dst Port: 53 Highest dns

From 192.168.1.22
TCP/UDP Lowest eeebox

TCP
Dst Port: 80,443 High www

TCP/UDP
L7: quake-halflife Highest cstrike

TCP/UDP
Dst Port: 21,20 Low ftp

TCP/UDP
Dst Port: 4000-65535 Lowest p2p

victek version can solve this. lowest class for xunlei and limit outbound bandwidth (5% - 50%).
*suggest turn off DHT,Upnp.

but found out problem , PPPOE not stable and reconnect every 2-3hrs.
my last billion 7402gl modem connection active more than 90days.

question:
- If run 24/7 , does it use out all Free Memory ?? because memory keep decrease.

some tmnut iprange hardly get, don't want restart router.

wish tomato have this feature .... ~

today try Victek v1.23.8505 firmware. my wireless ipcam signal increase 9% -> 22% without increase tx power thumbup.gif

I don't know what's wrong with my router.

Qos and everything that shapes traffic is turned off, but I get graphs like this trying to surf the internet. When downloading, the graph is alright, but surfing gives such graphs.

I am on streamyx 1MB package

i have been using hyperwrt + thibor firmware for more than 1 year on my wrt54g v2.2... its really stable... since been using the firmware for too long... my finger felt itchy to try another firmware... so 2 days ago i tried ddwrt v24 sp1... i even brick my router (power led keep blinking)... tongue.gif lucky can flash back...my 1st impression on ddwrt are the gui looks cool & have lotsa stuff but later i find it so heavy to load the webgui especially when i dc & connect few times on the row to find the best ip...

so today i try victek's Tomato_RAF_1.23.8505ND... so far so good... its a whole new gui for me... its simple & light...

thanks victek... notworthy.gif
