wow i feel great
tomato really rocks, my connection feels lighter now, torrent speed also good *using Linksys WRT54GL v1.1 + Tomato Firmware v1.22.1570 Copyright © 2006-2008 Jonathan Zarate UPDATE: have some problem here, when browsing google images with torrent on, seem that line is bottlenecking, lagging and can't maintain speed.like this, one time i got 1kb/s only about 20 seconds, then 700kb/s in 10 seconds then normal speed. gonna try Tomato RAF 1.22.8010 by Victek.. Hello everyone,
I have just rolled over from DD-wrt v24 sp1 (special) as i have found their QOS "limiter per ip" isnt so great and i had problems setting up Static ip's for my local lan computers. Anyway, static DHCP with tomato was a breeze to setup, but the problem i am facing is with IP/MAC limiting. It is successfully limiting my upload speed at 32kbps, but my download speed for some reason is not being limited. (120kbps). Anyone else experincing this or know how to fix it? Im using the new version "Tomato 1.22.8010" on my Linksys WRT54GL v1.1 |

Hmm... After flashing to Tomato RAF 1.22.8500ND, I notice that my wireless signal is quite weak. Before flashing. I set my transmit power to 50mW. Now I set to 60mW and the signal strength still doesn't match the 50mW of the stock firmware. Wonder why.
Edit: Okay. I just reflash to Tomato RAF 1.22.8010. Wireless signal strength is a lot better now. This post has been edited by tps18489: Nov 29 2008, 06:07 PM |

Remember always to perform a nvram reset in the router, most of undesired behavior are a consequence of corrupted memory after the flashing. Better to loss one minute with a new configuration than fighting hours besides strange behavior of the router after flashing...
Don't ask how to perform nvram reset, there are many post in the thread self explanatory. |

Victek one has extras such as :-
Bandwidth Limiter per IP/MAC TCP Vegas CPU Info & Extended button and such New WiFi Driver P2P Obfuscation Those are his add-ons. Its better then normal tomato firmware in sense that the new QoS per IP is much much more handier ! |

I've read the wikis but I don't quite understand it, what does TCP vegas do. Delaying TCP packets? Means better QoS?

Just debrick my WRT54G v2.2 by shorting the pin 16 of ROM with the ground and now it ALIVE! Tftp to ddwrt mini version and then flashing to Tomato Victek v1.22 immediately...now the router is working charm, like the IP/MAC Limiter so much...
