Not just that, even DX10 is barely utilised. DX10.1 is even worse off. DX11 is a long way to go. But other than that, sound plan. I am also looking forward to nvidia's next releases. A die-shrinked GTX280 would be fearful indeed. Good times for video cards, there's some real competition going on.

problem lies with nvidia because they dont have dx10.1 cards not ati

DX10.1 is way better than DX10, DX10 sucks.

Anyway, DX11 is an enhancement of DX10.1, not DX10

4870x2 also having same problem as 3870x2 on dfi board with x38 and x48...notting much can be done its bios incompatibility, actually last time when i still have the dfi x48 mobo the dfi tech department got told me bout their suspecting the award bios is having some issue with x2 card..
and some report say it not only afected dfi board but other board which are using award bios..

so far the incompatibility that they can identified is:

3870 gecube turbo(failed to recognise power socket plug in) solve by beta bios by dfi tech department
3870x2 random freeze and lock up on both x48/x38 unsolved
3870x2 rog version no luck to boot at all
4870x2 the same nightmare as 3870x2..

i lost faith in dfi this year, man their lt x48 is damn good memory oc board, and their reply on support is top notch.
