Sapphire 4870x2 user reporting in...
I have one question regarding of the fan speed, I already edit the xml profile to 50%, but in GPUZ it show 40% all the time, is it trustable?
If not, how may I know that the fan is running at 50%?
Thanks in advance

QUOTE(Gamer @ Sep 5 2008, 09:59 AM) m.. i put the fan 2000rpm but in GPU-z showed 28xxrpm (45%) in XML profile. 2800rpm is fine for me, the temp is 54c I set 45% and the fan speed show 29xxRPM in gpuz, the temperature is ok but the fan is a bit loud, 46-47C idle, the other core 42-43C idle

QUOTE(Gamer @ Sep 5 2008, 05:15 PM) that XML profile i also don't know how adjust correctly.. 1 is RPM and another is set for percentage of the fan speed...z if i put 50% and 2500rpm then rpm up to 38xx rpm?! that almost like plane take off liao .... U just set either one only, by percentage or rpm... I think u can't use both, but 50% for 38xx rpm is a lot, mine if use 50% around 32xx only, what card u used?

QUOTE(riku2replica @ Sep 6 2008, 11:33 PM) That's gonna be out of my budget. Maybe i could cut down by change casing + hd3870x2. But that's outdated. Run naked is the best choice if u want hd4870x2, but the hardware is not secure, or better u get HD4870 + aluminium casing? Plus u must consider to get a new power supply too (if urs less than 650W)

It is posible to get 30k gpu score in entry preset, even with dual GTX280 can't reach 30k gpu score in performance preset
Refer to my previous post #540, I got 35k gpu score in preset entry with hd4870x2

Till now i dont have time to play any game yet QUOTE(HIM @ Sep 7 2008, 06:34 PM) i am totally noobs when come to hardware thing esp psu. So want to ask, i am using CM real power 550w. Can my psu support this 4870x2? Or at least can it support single 4870? Hope some sifu can answer my question. thanks in advance Your power supply should be enough for single 4870, but for x2, might have a problem since it require 650w

Gamer... Nice game u have, mind to burn for me some .... JK Thaisxs, how much rpm the fan running for 60% speed, your temp. looks high, my temp is around 7x only @ full load and 45% fan speed (29xxRPM in GPUZ) This post has been edited by aLWAYStHEsAME: Sep 7 2008, 08:55 PM

QUOTE(AMDAthlon @ Sep 9 2008, 12:37 AM) DAAMIT = AMDATi Yup,AMD already tested it with 790FX.I thought 4870 X2 is capable of doing 4 way crossfire? Its 4 cards X2 But AMD needs stabilize its driver, because its cannot unleash the Crossfire, maybe we can say the game too.. IC, didn't now about that, i thought 4870x2 can't do 4 way crossfire, cause it have 1 slot CF connector only, where u read about this?

QUOTE(tech3910 @ Sep 9 2008, 01:33 AM) 4870x2 it self is dual GPU. wen u crossfire 2 of these card 2gether.........it is already consider as 4 way crossfire. U're wrong, 4 way crossfire = 4x Graphic Card = 8 GPU, currently only amd790FX and intel x48 that support 4 slots but no driver support 4 way CF at the moment Click here for sourceThis post has been edited by aLWAYStHEsAME: Sep 9 2008, 02:01 AM
