if you havent solved the issue, try this:

Menu > Tools > Settings > Connection > APN Control > Click Options > Deactivate Restrictions.

I think standard PUK2 is 1234

for screen protector, get from viravira..he is selling super cheap and quality is good. I brought 2 just in case i screw up the first 1. But is easy to apply and the price of 2 pcs is less than 1 pc @ those shop outside....

My phone does not have APN Control. I think wira1979 also does not have this option in his phone. Wondering why

For screen protector, I think the retail price will cost about RM10. If u buy at garage sales, u can get screen protector as cheap as RM3-4 for this model.
For this model, there is no crystal casing nor silicone casing yet. Maybe because this model is still new in the market. Maybe in next 1-2 months will have in the market already

Just got my 8GB Sandisk MicroSD Mobile Ultra (came with tiny size USB reader), tested the write speed..damn..it was fast. It can achieved up to 16Mb/s write speed. Much faster than my 8Gb Sandisk Cruzer Micro thumbdrive (6.5Mb/s)

BTW, anybody having problem with their phone after disconnecting from data transfer mode?
I have a problem where it does not detect the memory card after I disconnect from data transfer mode (computer).

I have to restart to get it back to normal.

yep. same here. it also happens after using the USB connection for connecting to the Internet.
apparently it disables the memory card access from the Symbian OS, but does not enable back the access.
perhaps it will be fixed in the next FW release.. whenever that is.

same here...Garmin MXT that installed on MicroSD cannot be launch.
Not sure this bug will be fix or even notice by nokia developer.
Anyway, I will use card reader for big file and bluetooth connection for small files. Very seldom use cable

True ViRaViRa, I wonder why mine doesn't have the APN Control thing.

The E71 is a fantastic phone and I do regret a bit not getting it (bought my GF the E71 and I bought the E66). However, the fact that I can't activate 3G on the E71 is driving me bonkers.

Last resort already ... I'll be going to the Maxis Service Centre this weekend and hopefully sort this out. If it's a setting problem, I'll make sure to post the settings here to avoid others going through the same mental torture as I did.

hi, is your phone E71-1 or E71-2? I was having problem on 3G connection on my E-71 before (after went back to the shop and maxis few times and no solution at all). At last, I found out myself my E71 is actually E71-2 which is for US country 3G access only. Finally, I got to f*** the seller and got to exchange the E71-1. It's working flawlessly right now

how to check whether is -1 or -2? And is there any 3rd party browser that works like MS IE? Cannot access my company management intranet system. Not compatible.
