Any good games to recommend on E71? (Since it is 320x240, so 240x320 is not going to be compatible I assume?)

seriously, if we discuss, everything has its pros and cons, there's no autofocus on it yes but it silence up the irritating shutter sound. And there's no point saying its good or not. Honestly, if u have a better software do share here instead of just giving your honorable personal opinion and in then we're still stuck with CCam and u can go on and on about its cons but it takes us nowhere better than the position we're presently in. No offence man, but I'm trying to shortlist all good and recommended programs/software for E71 users to begin a new thread rather than discuss about the program itself. Let those who haven't try it get their hands on it at least until a better software can be found. Agree?

Well, you are the one who seems to be offended instead of me sweat.gif

What is the point of taking blurry photos? doh.gif

Better way - (1) crack your phone to off the shutter (2) plug in your headset & take photos. Sound will go thru your headset.

Conclusion - CCam is a BIG NO NO for autofocus phones....

Yes, the old E-series, mainly the predecessor E61i is quite bulky, but you have assurance not jus from me, but from everyone in this thread, it is slim, solid, edgy, stylish, sleek, professional, lightweight, attractive..... and erm, let me add in "gaya, power, cun, mantap, segak" and watever complimentary terms that u can find to describe it.

U gotta hold it to love it, and love it to use it, and use it to feel it, and feel it to buy it, and buy it to understand it, and understand it to appreciate it.

But one thing, if touchscreen and good camera is your preference, then don hold, don love it, don use it, don feel it, don buy it, dun understand it, don appreciate it and ultimately leave it alone.

Not offende bro. Thats how i want it. Solution bro. Care to explain how the crack is done? And will it have negative effects on the phone?

To crack, there will be 2 ways:
1) use euro firmware for your phone. Once your phone in silent mode, camera shutter sound off too.
2) http://symbianism.blogspot.com/2008/05/sil...mera-sound.html

Both above is related to cracking your phone software. I tried & it worked very well (2nd one) but hv to do it under your own risk.

If you do not wish to do any cracking / hacking, then - use a headset when snapping photo nod.gif

Just tested the video recording on the phone. So far, the video seems good to be played back on the phone; but the audio recording is just superb.. really crystal clear. almost like my previous nokia n82. as for the QVGA recording, it does seem to be better than other phones' QVGA recording which seems pixelated.
perhaps the E71 is using a N82 or N95 video-recording chip which is downscaled to QVGA from VGA. flex.gif

Nope. Using 2nd latest firmware.
The video recording (tried in daylight) is good compared to the camera.
Actually the photo-taking camera has very good sharpness and focus, and I can take pictures of documents and close-up shots like faces or food that are very clear. It is just that the colours are mostly spoiled due to the weird tints; but this can be rectified mostly in the PC.

no no.. the phone is definately not bulky.. There are lots of QWERTY phones which are much much more bulky then the E71. In fact, I think the E71 is the most slimmest QWERTY phones you can find in the market at the moment.. rclxms.gif

I think its possible. When I send my wife N85 to change the language, to my surprise, unlike SE, you can actually change the phone language file instead of having to upgrade firmware to change the language. I think its the same for every Nokia Symbian phone.
