Try have some read of this article posted by Darklight79:
How SQUATTING builds BIGGER ARMSFrom the article:
QUOTE
It constantly amazes me just how many neophytes (beginners), near neophytes, and other insufficiently developed bodybuilders plunge into single-body part specialization programs in the desperate attempt to build big arms. I don't fault them for wanting big arms, but their approach to getting them is flawed. For the typical bodybuilder who is miles away from squatting 1.5 times their bodyweight for 20 reps (if you weigh 180 lbs., that means 20 reps with 270 lbs.), an arm specialization program is utterly inappropriate and useless.
QUOTE
Thin arms, connected to narrow shoulders, fixed to shallow chest, joined to frail backs and skinny legs, don't need body part specialization programs. Let's not have skewed priorities. Let's not try to put icing on the cake before the cake has been baked.
If I understand correctly, you need
compound exercises to grow. Specializing on chest, abs, arm, won't make these parts grow big all of a sudden. I researched for about 6 months before I started my transformation goal. Don't rush it, keep reading. Knowledge will be your best friend.
I failed once before after gaining only 6kg for 6 months. Even that 6kg never looked close to what I am now after gaining the same amount of weight.
