QUOTE(little ice @ Dec 21 2008, 10:59 PM) you asked "is it possible to save gps maps on C905", so offline maps are what you want. or, let me guess, you mean you're asking how to save the maps for "google maps", right? first of all, google maps cannot be saved, it can only load in realtime, and will only save a portion in the cache. so, the conclusion is, you gotta search for "offline maps" for java phones. there're many offline maps for java platform, you search and try them out see which is you prefer. whether they work with the internal gps, i don't have a clue. google is your best friend. Yeah, I want to save offline map for GPS usage. But so far couldn't find any way to do so. Hopefully in future there will be "saveable" maps for java base GPS apps

Hopefully in future there will be "saveable" maps for java base GPS apps if you understand how google maps works, you'll get the message that google maps will NOT be able to have offline version, cause the database is soooo huge that'll literally eat up your whole memory card even just within malaysia. imagine, map view/satellite view/terrain view, various zoom level, labels, POIs. there're some offline maps which is based on google maps. but as far as i know someone made for iphone, but i don't think there's any for java platform. if you at least want to have a simple map to try out and use it at the moment, just google and download them to try out.

@apeq.. i think you're being too much pressure on the phone.. seriously.. new phone sure got many software problems 1 due to unstable firmware.. meaning got bugs..
button 3 and 6 is a bit hard to press i can say its due to the metal strip in between and the design of the keypad. its all connected together.
Ori set will be in store in 2-3 weeks more time..

I also heard from my cousin who sell handphones in BB Plaza says that 9 units out 10 units C905 have come back for warranty. All AP units. Problems like the keypad & d-pad not working, earpiece no sound when got call, etc. Now thinking should get this phone or not

AP and Original phones are the same.. just the warranty carrier different. like Thorus, Midland is Authorised Warranty provider but Telstra, Final Choice ar just normal warranty provider.. thats why got seperate into Ori set which has original authorised warranty and Ap set with normal warranty provider.

I read the vodafone UK forum and some of them have the same problems there for their C905. So not all originals is good.
One good thing their is the 1 on 1 exchange.
Hopefully they fixed the C905 problems before they launch here.
