you asked "is it possible to save gps maps on C905", so offline maps are what you want.

or, let me guess, you mean you're asking how to save the maps for "google maps", right? first of all, google maps cannot be saved, it can only load in realtime, and will only save a portion in the cache.

so, the conclusion is, you gotta search for "offline maps" for java phones. there're many offline maps for java platform, you search and try them out see which is you prefer.sweat.gif

whether they work with the internal gps, i don't have a clue. google is your best friend.

Yeah, I want to save offline map for GPS usage. But so far couldn't find any way to do so.

Hopefully in future there will be "saveable" maps for java base GPS apps smile.gif

i can accept that fact..

camera wise c905 better but screen small compared to other 8mp phones and even 5mp phones has bigger screen.

other downsides or problems with this phone?
*
Mine so far dont have any problem. Battery can last me 2-3 days which is a lot better than Innov8.

Only downside is GPS map could not be permanently save on phone, and also slightly smaller screen for such high end phone...

u got innov8 and the old n95?

so what do u think is a better overall phone? im choosing between n95 8gb, c905, n85. the small screen of the c905 really bugs me...

what do u mean by the gps map cannot be saved??
*
yup got both, for me the better overall phone is n95.
innov8 is better than n95 imo but the only downside is i have to always worry the phone will run out of power before i able to charge it. sweat.gif

Anyway, C905 has better battery life than both Innov8 and N95.

What I know is there's no manual keylock for C905.

What?? No manual key lock?? Are you serious???
*
Yes, I've been googling for manual keylock but seems like C905 is same as W910 which do not have manual keylock.

Either you slide the phone to lock to wait for phone auto keylock.
