played the Omnia at Samsung Booth. not much different compared to my i780. the touch sensitivity is bad just like my i780. u need to press hard enuf to see the reaction. but with long fingernails the sensitivity issue is over.
did not managed to test the camera as an error pop-out saying insufficient memory. the sound quality is similar to i780. overall, Omnia is OK but for those of u who have big fingers will find it difficut to use it as no dedicated OK button is available to close any applications. |

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « already tried the Omnia i must say that i am impressed with the UI even its a little bit lag. but the only thing holds me from purchase some units because of the price, the same price with HTC Diamond And currently i'm living with iphone, so i don't think of using Omnia for my daily life. as dgtel2 said, the touch sensitivity is not good enough. But i like the big Omnia display on samsung booth This post has been edited by Balok: Aug 3 2008, 07:21 PM |

Something amused me
People actually prefer a sensitive touch screen over everything Function wise, iphone is not really a competitor to omnia Well done Apple I must say This post has been edited by Hehechicken: Aug 3 2008, 08:53 PM |

Omnia VS iphone 3G
Samsung i900 Resolution 240 x 400 pixels VS. iPhone 3G’s 320 x 480 pixels Samsung Omnia advertised battery is 5.80 hours, delivered 4 hours and 20 minutes of talk time VS. iPhone 3G advertised 10.00 hours, delivered 4 hours 27 minutes of talk time Samsung has MicroSD card slot (iphone has none) Much better 5 megapixel camera (better processing, higher resolution, face and smile detection, geotagging) vs. same old 2.0 megapixel camera. TV-out (iphone lacks that) TouchWiz user interface VS multi-touch interface. Microsoft Window Mobile 6.1 Professional VS Mac OS X v10.4.10 Copy/Paste performance ( iphone offers none) Omnia offers voice dialing and recording, but the iphone 3g still missing those features source |

Just an enquiry:, when I went to the Digital Mall and ask the Samsung dealer about AP set for samsung phones. He said that now there is no longer AP set for samsung phones. Is that true?

there is still AP set if you know where to find it. but the price differs not much, like rm100-200 tops, and warranty not as widely covered like FMG. need to say more?

It seems like Samsung will offer a new color for the i900 Omnia. The 16GB version of the Windows Mobile powerhorse will have a white back panel as an option. The front panel of the Omnia will stay the same and the changes will only apply to the battery cover.
