So sorry for XPERIA, not even out in the market, ppl already moved away from X1. Sony is sleeping.... Moto is dying.... Sams is attacking!

I wonder what happen to our "Mawi" phone brand....sudah masuk kubur ka?

Anyway, for mods...why is this i900 inside "Phone-Specific" thread? Why my i780 inside "PDA"? So double-standard...

I believe this i900 is "PDA" and not "Phone-Specific". And all PDAs out there is a phone altogether. Otherwise... omit "PDA" section and merge them into "Phone-Specific"... Just highlighting...

played the Omnia at Samsung Booth. not much different compared to my i780. the touch sensitivity is bad just like my i780. u need to press hard enuf to see the reaction. but with long fingernails the sensitivity issue is over.

did not managed to test the camera as an error pop-out saying insufficient memory. the sound quality is similar to i780.

overall, Omnia is OK but for those of u who have big fingers will find it difficut to use it as no dedicated OK button is available to close any applications.

anyone notice this.....when u lock the keypad, the volume rocker remains unlocked and thus sometimes gets triggered accidentally.

therefore when u set the phone to vibrate....it may just reset itself to ring and make a whole lot of noice when u dont want it to....happened to me and just figured out what caused it today...

anyone else with the same problem?

The same problem to i780 as well. No rectification to this yet.

The gradually increase ringtone is fixed which I don't like. Unlike other phones (especially Symbian), we can st to use "Increase Gradually" mode as the ringtone. But all Samsung units (mine is i780 by the way) have this fixed soft-to-loud ringtone. Not a good feature for me. Still googling around to hack this "fixed" feature.

All Samsung WM phones like that. My i780 behaves similarly. What I do is to just hit the ON/OFF button once, then the tone goes off. Press the ON/OFF button again to reveal the screen.

Found out why my phone was running out of battery too fast. Is because i forgot to turn of the port splitter used for MapKing. Crazy nicely makan my battery. Also guys, not too sure why they keep trying to connect to GPRS automatically. DUnno which program asking it to connect, cause i didnt on my wireless ma. Surely kena charge liow. Any idea how to disable it?

Avoid MapKing. It's lousy. Try Garmin MXT or iGO8.

As for the GPRS, use NoData application (free). Google under "nodata windows mobile".

Even it runs with iGO8. See : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tpaI67K0vzk. Now that I have iGO8 on my i780, I thought Garmin MXT is lousy now.... LOL...

do we need to download KL maps??
*
Yes. You have to upload the maps to your unit. Any GPS client do that including GoogleMaps. It's easier to "find" Australia map than Malaysia map. The latest map for Malaysia is on February 2008. But I have the October 2007 version. I don't have Omnia though but I have i780. iGO8 works flawlessly. Now I have MapKing, Garmin MXT and iGO8 on my i780...lol...
