Its only common sense that 7200RPM drives runs hotter than 5400RPM drives.

Just bought 1TB Scorpio 7200rpm. Yet to try. No time to spare. huhu.




***Bought a wrong one. huhu. misread the description. it's not a 2.5" laptop hardisk. lol.
now, juz ordered the 500gb WD sata

Successfully upgraded my PS3 40GB to 320 GB after 5 days of owning it..haha

Thanx a lot for the guides..Btw got it for RM 210-320gb Seagate Momentus..Normal price or bargain??

Quite normal price, although a little bit more expensive than I can get. I can get a 320GB HDD for RM190~+.

Also, what is the biggest can masuk? Saw one guy with a Tag that said 500GB PS3.

Make sure your firmware is up to date.

Official support is up to 750GB now, but no one will buy a 750GB unless you have pockets so deep that even recession cannot kill you.

Same problem like mine..What i did is insert a thumbdrive with latest firmware,press select+start at 1 time n it auto format for me biggrin.gif

if i new buy the ps3 80G(no even play at all) n need to upgrade to 250G,
what should i do. (need to back up any for the solfware inside ps3?)

Ain't out in Malaysia yet.
But they are the usual manufacturers from Segate, WD, Samsung, Hitachi, etc.

Price? Expect it to be close to 1k.

Just switch out the HDD then.
No back-up needed, since theres nothing inside anyways.

Before the upgrade,my ps3 is running on the latest firmware..when upgrading it can't locate the firmware thus i need to update using my thumbdrive sweat.gif
