i'm guessing actually, for online purchased contents, it has to belong to something and in this case i guess it'd be your PSN account.
now i'm a little confused. can someone answer this?
if i've purchase a game via online store, will i be able to play it if i log into the same account on a different PS3?
or do the purchased games register to your PS3 and you can only play on that particular one PS3? (nakata101 i think the backup for upgrade stores and restores EVERYTHING from your original HDD to your new HDD)

Hi all,
read a respond somewhere in this thread that PS3 can play MKV files. Is this true? PS3 site does not confirm this.
Can anyone confirm this?

PS3 can't play MKV files natively, but you can stream/transcode from your PC to your PS3 very easily using software. Most people talk about Tversity but that piece of sh*t was a nightmare to configure and was buggy as all hell. I've since started using PS3 Media Server (http://ps3mediaserver.blogspot.com/). Literally install, and everything just about works. Unlike Tversity, this program didn't need any additional codecs to decode MKV files.
